~Chapter 1~

Well that's how I feel about the situation. So I'm a new student at Jackson High School. I just moved into town this summer and barely have a clue on how this town works. My family happens to be my mom Carla, my dad Tony, and my big brother Ronnie. We are all from Texas, so coming from there all the way to here in California, it is a big difference.
Running is my life. Every morning I get up at six to run for exactly thirty minutes. I know some people hate running, especially in P.E. class. But I absolutely love it. The thing is, I love it so much I would probably marry it.
Most people say that I am popular. But when I tell them I'm not, they just say I'm being modest. Then I tell people over and over again that I'm not popular or modest. You see, I don't have everyone lined up around me asking for my number. And if you ask me, I think I look hideous. I've been told that I'm "gorgeous" and "beautiful" but I seriously don't think that is scientifically possible. "You have straight A's", "Your extremely tan", "You can sing really good", "You have straight, thin, dark, brown hair", "You have sparkling green eyes with even prettier white teeth", "Your sooo pretty!". That is what people say about me when we talk, and the list still goes on. But to be honest, I was a big nerd at my old school. Last year no one even knew who I was. So this year I'm going to make sure that that changes.
Tomorrow is the first day of school. I can't believe that I'm finally a junior. I gotta say, I'm really nervous. I have not meet anyone my age yet in this "unique" town. And let me tell you, it would be really nice to make a friend before school so I won't feel so out of place.
Oh, and if your wondering, my brother, Ronnie, is "looking" for a"nice" community college. He is twenty years old, yet still hasn't matured fully in the brain department, if you know what I mean.
