Artemis POV
I was frozen in shock. Why was percy jackson, the hero of Olympus, asking to die? Apparently, the other Olympians were just as, if not more, confused. Silence lingered for another minute until Zeus spoke up.
"Why?" he asked. Percy sighed, and was about to reply before Athena yelled at him, her eyes ablaze with fury.
"What about Annabeth? she would be heartbroken if you died! Did you break up with her? You deserve to die sea scum!" she yelled. She then blasted percy across the room, where he crashed into a stone pillar and fell unconcious. Apollo ran over to him, but instead of healing him, Apollo searched his memories. We watched Percy's friends leave him, we saw his tasks from Athena. Then, we saw Annabeth break his heart. I was shocked. Girls can't break a boys heart! that's impossible. The boy always breaks the girls heart, right? My thoughts were interrupted by Athena running to Percy with tears running down her face. She ordered Apollo to heal Percy. When Percy woke up, he pushed himself away from Athena in fear. She apologized to him and hugged him. Percy accepted her apology, extremely confused. We explained how we saw his memories and Percy hung his head in sorrow and shame. Zeus then asked a question. "Would you like to become Guardian of the Hunt?". I was about to unleash my fury and attack my father, but I stopped myself. Maybe Percy could help the hunt. I nodded my agreement, and Percy accepted. He swore by Chaos' name to protect my hunters and I at all costs. right after he spoke those words, wings appeared on Percy's back.
"woah!" said Percy.
Thy were sleek black and glossy. Hestia rose from the Hearth to bless Percy. She told him she would bless him with power over fire. Then she kneeled down and whispered something in Percy's ear. Percy nodded, and Hestia blessed him. Percy was then blessed by Apollo, Hermes, Hera, Athena, Aphrodite, and Demeter. He was also given partial immortality by me, just like the hunters. I then teleported to my hunters camp with Percy still at Olympus.
