Percy POV
Did Artemis teleport without me on purpose? Why am I even asking myself that, of course she did. What I don't understand is why she even agreed to me being guardian in the first place. As I mused over that thought, another thought struck me. I didn't want the hunters to know who I was. All I would feel would be shame of they knew who I was. I'd be called a coward. I quickly groped in my pockets for a drachma. When I found one, I created mist for a rainbow and threw in the drachma. Thankfully, when the mist showed Artemis, she was in her tent without her hunters.
"Did you tell the hunters about me yet?" I questioned.
"No, I was just about to. Is there a problem?" she asked me. I sighed in relief.
"No, but could you withhold my identity from the hunters? I'd rather them not know who I am," I asked her. Artemis looked puzzled, but she slowly nodded her head in agreement.
"Is there any particular reason they shouldn't know? You're the only male they somewhat respect, if they don't know it's you they'll treat you like any other male," said Artemis in a matter-of-fact tone. I gulped, but keeping my identity hidden was the main priority right now.
"I'll deal with it. I'm not ready for everyone to know I'm the Guardian yet. I'll keep it a secret for now. And by the way, could you at least tell me where your camp is? Because I'm kind of lost in the woods right now, and that would be nice to know," I said sarcastically.
"Well, wise guy, when I granted you partial immortality, you also gained my blessing. You will always be able to sense where I am and where my hunters are. Have fun!!" With that, Artemis swiped through the message, leaving me confused and befuddled.
"Did she really just do that" I said to myself, strolling through the woods, confused as Hades. A man just popped in front of me, scaring me to my core. I jumped back, surprised. I stuttered out," w-who are y-you?"
The man summoned a couch (I'm not sure how that looked to any mortals who saw us just lounging on a couch) and motioned for me to sit down. I sat down and scooted to the far end of the couch, wary of the man seated beside me. I pulled out Riptide for good measure. The man put his hands up.
"Woah there, I'm not here to hurt you" he said. I lowered Riptide, but kept it out just in case. I studied him. He was tall, around seven feet, wearing casual clothes, looking as if he didn't have a care in the world. The weird thing was his skin. It was midnight black, with glittering stars in some areas. "I'm Chaos, creator of the universe. I actually came here to give you my blessing. I've been watching you, and I have to say, you're different from any demigod I've ever associated with before. I already granted you wings. you deserve them. No one has ever had the courage to swear on my name before without dying. That's why I decided to bless you. So, what do you say?"
I slowly nodded, still taking this all in. I'm sitting in front of the creator of the universe. He just offered to bless me. Me, out of all the other demigods on Earth. I didn't even bow to him (oops, too late for that now) and yet he still offers me his blessing.
I graciously accepted, still overwhelmed with the events of the day. Chaos began to chant in an ancient language, and I was surrounded by a golden glow. Once the glow faded, I felt brand new. I glanced at Chaos curiously.
"Oh yeah. I not only made you my champion, but I also may have turned you into a primordial god..... see yah!!!" Chaos flashed away along with the couch, causing me to fall on my butt in the dirt.
A.N. Should I add more of Chaos?? I don't know if he should play a bigger role. Let me know!!!!
