It was an average day. Almost too average. Matthew was bored, fiddling with his dress. His blonde hair had been getting quite long, for a boy at least, to the point where it would almost bounced when he moved. He was walking around the plaza of town looking for something to do. Go shopping? He had too many clothes. See a movie? Too time consuming. He felt his belly rumble as he walked around. A bite to eat it is then. He drifted to a near by coffee shop. As he walked into the shop the air changed. He felt tension all around. His heart started to beat fast. He continued to walk in, nervous about nothing he assumed.

He got the croissant he ordered and almost instantly dropped it from the heat. He felt his hands get cupped together, so he didn't drop his food, by force. He looked up. What he saw was going to change his life forever.

"Oh...uh, thanks," Matthew said, wincing at his high feminine voice.

"Hey, no problem. Just make sure your hands don't fall off," the man jokingly added. He then let out a deep chuckle.

Matthew's face immediately became red. He tried to introduce himself but he kept tripping over his words as he stuttered.

"Uh...anyway. Hello the name is Cole. You?" asked Cole, taking charge of the already awkward conversation. Matthew was still tripping over his words. His heart skipped a beat as Cole let out a small chuckle followed by a goodbye as he walked away.

"M-Matthew!" exclaimed Matthew. Everyone in the coffee shop, including Cole, turned around in confusion at his shout. "Um...my name. It's Matthew," Matthew uttered again.

"Well, Matthew, wanna go sit down?" Cole offered. Matthew hesitated a second before taking his hand and following him to a table.
