There were eight of us. I guess I should tell you that we lived in California. I moved there from New York City with my mom and my brother Jack. Jack and I were very close, seeing that he was only a year older than me. When we first met we were all freshman in high school. I'll tell you a little about them.

I should probably start with myself though. My name is Emery but they always called me E or Em. I'm 5'2 and probably will be forever. Along with being short, my features don't fit together. I have long blonde hair and brown eyes. But my hair isn't golden, it's more like yellow and brown but mostly yellow. And my eyes are just too dark. My eyes also just seem to big. I loved to read and watch movies. I also liked to go to school for some reason . And I liked to stay in my comfort zone. The other thing that I loved was Dallas Mays.

Riley Miller was 5'6 and never in a bad mood. We all called her Riles. She had shiny jet black hair and electric blue eyes. Riley was the star of the volleyball team and softball team. She could play just about any sport and beat just about anyone at it. No matter what, she looked at the games she played positively.

Taylor Fox had brown hair and ice blue eyes. She was 5'3, only an inch taller than me and it helped her appear innocent when she was being accused of something. Taylor was a prankster and class clown. The only thing she loved more than people laughing at the things she did was her twin brother Nash. They were always together. She also loved to act and was very dramatic, so she was normally the lead for all of the school plays.

Ashtyn Key was one of the most amazing people you could ever meet. She had deep green eyes and red hair and a fair complexion. She was 5'9, and the tallest girl in our friend group. We always called her Ash. She was smart and talented. She loved to paint and sing. She could play any instrument you handed to her and it would sound perfect. And her and Cameron made the perfect couple.

Cameron Shay was Ash's boyfriend. He was 5'11 and looked like a Greek god. He had a chiseled jaw line, bronze skin, brown eyes, and brown hair. Sometimes Ash and him didn't look right together, but they were made for one another. Cam was a golden boy. He got all the grades, played sports, and was very popular. But he was loyal, and stayed with us no matter what.

Nash Fox was Taylor's twin brother. He had brown hair and ice blue eyes just like her, but the colors were a little different and he was 6'0. Cam was his best friend. Nash and Taylor worked together on all of their pranks. They were almost the same person. He would do anything for Taylor and she would do the same for him.

Benjamin Winston was one of my closest friends that I have ever had. He was 5'8, with gray eyes and hair that he dyed a different color every couple of months. He was everybody's GBF (gay best friend). No matter what was happening you could count on him to stand by your side. He was part of the student senate, and made sure to take care of the problems that affected his friends first. Benny was a goody-two-shoes, and was never good under peer pressure. It was always fun to talk with him about boys and clothes.

Lastly was Dallas fucking Mays. He was 6'3 with the perfect brown hair, and light brown eyes. Dally was the "bad" boy. He really just didn't care. He hated the rules and laws, and because of this he just didn't follow them. He hated to be told what to do, and most people are afraid of him. I wasn't though, I actually wanted to get to know him. He hated everything really, and I wanted to show him that there is good left in the world. I was one of the only things he cared about.
