If you wanna know how I ended up here, this is the night. The one night that will change everything. Pay close attention...

Grell jumped out of cover behind the chimney we had hid behind, and swiftly reved his death scythe ready for a fight. I was clinging to the chimney in hopes that I wouldn't be seen. It was warm, comforting and inviting. I didn't want to move from that spot. "That was our soul to reap, you're gonna pay for that sweetie!!" Grell exclaimed somewhat flirting with the demon. "Am I?" The demon said even more flirtatious. Are they asking eachother out or fighting? Suddenly Grell jumped at him scythe ready to slice him in two.

I had my eyes closed my body pushing into the chimney for comfort. William reached his hand out and placed it on my arm, sapping myself out of the daze. I moved using my arm to slide my body off the wall and peered at the scene happening below. Grell was so close to kicking his face from the air I thought he actually did, but the demon caught it and threw him further back into the street. I was scared because of how my father spoke about demons.

I don't think my father feared them at all, he just wanted me to be safe. He always told me that demons are something to be feared, but that he'd always be there to protect me... Well... He's not here now. I look to William with troubled eyes. "You'll be okay." Will says,  in a not very assuring tone. "What if I'm not? What does he want anyways? Why did he get someone to try to kill me?" I whisper-yelled at him. He didn't give an answer as William grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the chimney as Grell's body flings into it breaking it on impact. "Well... He's strong." I say trying to be a tad bit  funny while being very much scared. I looked onto the street below and the demon was gone.

"Will... Where did he..." Suddenly William pushed me from where I was standing. I turned to see "S" now fighting him. William's face was oddly  filled with anger.  He had snuck up behind us... "You sneaky mother f-" I stopped my sentence and flinched as a knife that flew like a hawk had been thrown at my face cutting my cheek. I looked at him dead in the eye.  He was standing right in front of me. He had black hair down to his shoulders and his eyes where a deep crimson like most demons. Although, unlike most he seemed to have many wounds... Not as many as my father but quite a few. Both William and Grell were wounded on the ground trying to get up.  He opened his mouth to speak showing his pointy k-9s that looked like fangs. He finally spoke and I understood less than I did before. "You look so much like your mother."

Curse my curiosity.
