I was walking home from the park one day when a man in an all black suit walked out of the woods and pulled me in. He covered my mouth as I was just about to scream for help. With hand still over my mouth, he handed me a knife and said, "Jack, you're an assassin. For your first task, I want you to assassinate someone in the park without being seen." That took me by surprise. He told me I was part of a secret organization my parents were in before they died and explained how they died down to the point. When he slowly took his hand away from my mouth, I asked, "If I'm an assassin, how come all I get is this pocket knife?" "The more tasks you complete, the better weapons you receive," he replied, showing me a huge diamond encrusted sword with a saw edge and a fancy pattern on the handle. "I have completed four-hundred ninety-three tasks. I received this one when I completed my four-hundred ninetieth task," he explained. I asked, "What weapon will I get next, and when?" He thought for a moment. "They'll put a pattern on that knife's handle, not a very fancy one, after five tasks. Then they'll sharpen it after ten tasks. Then they'll encrust it with some type of gem at fifth-teen tasks. Then you'll get a bigger one at twenty and the pattern continues. You do eventually get ninja stars, but one you get out of those it's this baby."

I thought for a moment, wondering if I should really do it, but before I knew it I was in the park looking for a crowded area to hide myself. I walked with one group of people then secretly stabbed them without stopping. One task down, four to go, I thought to myself. I was looking forward to the weapon upgrade even though I had just started out. Nine tasks later I found myself using a slightly decorated, sharpened knife and killing without hesitance. After all, it is what my parents did. When I reported back, I asked the man, "How many tasks did my parents fulfill?" His eyes widened a bit. "They fulfilled about eight-hundred fifty tasks each. Before you ask, the weapon upgrades stop at five-hundred tasks. Since you were here last, I've completed five more. Two more and I'll have the last weapon," he replied excitedly. Then he gave me my next task, "I want you, to go into the park and assassinate five people, that will count as five tasks and you will get rubies on that pocket sized knife. But here's the catch, you have to slit their ankles without being seen. Do this and you'll get your new weapon." So I went to the park, hid in bushes and got unsuspecting people. When I hit twenty tasks and got rid of the small knife and got a slightly larger dagger, I asked, "How are you supposed to not be seen when your weapons get flashier?" He replied, "Every time you get a weapon upgraded to something bigger, you're tasks become more focused on one certain person. No more missions in the park. Now you can give someone a threatening warning before you assassinate them, just to make it fun. I even made up a little catchphrase to say before decapitating someone with the Omega sword." He pointed to the sword he had, and I could tell he hit five-hundred tasks because I saw an unusual button on the handle. "What is that button for," I asked. He replied "Watch this." He pressed the button and fire came out of the blade from the handle to the tip. "Wow," I said in amazement. I wanted that weapon.
