Runaway Bride Chapter 2 -Inside all the beauty and charm is a beast-
I got out my brother's tight grasp. His brown eyes full of determination made me look away. I can't leave them here to die.
"Don't say what isn't going to happen." I whispered.
"When I give you the sign I want you to run." He whispered walked backward, his eyes on me.
"What?" I said confused. He opened the door not saying anything.
"What sign? When?" I whispered quickly trying to get an answer before he closed the door on me.
"You'll see." He said before closing the door quietly behind him. I won't see because I will not leave him here to be killed.
I take in a deep shaky breathe before lifting the front of my dress. I walk out to see white dim walls, I remembered the way out and soon walk into a huge living room. As soon as I'm spotted everyone (girl) starts to tell me compliments.
"You look so pretty."
"I love your hair."
"You look like a goddess."
In reality I know they are thinking other wise. Everyone telling me this are female vampires who were rejected by Carson. I know in there heads they are thinking what he sees in me and that I'm not even that pretty.
"Thank you." I said quietly looking at them. I didn't spot my mother or brother anywhere.
"Catherine, you are one lucky girl." Rebecca said. Her freakishly light green eyes were looking intensely into mine. Her blonde hair was up in a tight bun enhancing her long neck. Rebecca was really close to Carson and is also a vampire.
"Thank you." I murmmered knowing she heard me. I sure as hell didn't feel like a lucky girl. She nodded before walking away with a smile plastered on her pale skin.
A few more girls came to tell me I was lucky and what not. I couldn't take it anymore, smiling and saying they were right. I squeezed out and returned to the dim hallways taking in a deep breath and sliding down the wall.
"Catherine." A husky voice said. I froze when I remember that was Carson's voice. I lifted my head and looked up to see him standing their. His blonde hair combed back making him look clean, cut and handsome. His light blue eyes were shining even in the dim light. He wore a black tuxedo with a white tie.
"Carson?" I said confused as to what he was doing here. "They say its bad luck to see the bride before the wedding."
He smiled before saying, "I'm not human. But that still doesn't give me the right to see you, I just couldn't help it." He gave me a shy smile afterward.
I tried to get up but it was hard with the heels. He grabbed my waist stopping me from tripping. "Thanks." I mumbled my cheeks blushing. The girls in their wouldn't have done that they would gracefully stood up. He chuckled and brought his hands to my burning cheeks, making me looking into his blue eyes.
"What?" I whispered.
"Your beautiful." He whispered back, his blue eyes looking at me intensely. "I can't wait for the honey moon." He brought his arms around me and placed his nose in between my neck. I forced myself to relaxed at least a bit as his breathe hit my neck sending shivers down my spine.
"You told me you weren't going to see her." Someone whined loudly then grabbed Carson's arm pulling him away from me. Dylan was there, Carson's best friend.
"Couldn't-"
"Sure you couldn't." Dylan said interrupting Carson. He probably knew what he was going to say.
He turned towards me giving me a small before dragging Carson down the dim hallway. Just thinking about honey moon with Carson had my stomach doing flips. Inside all the beauty and charm is a beast I told myself mentally.
Someone grabbed my arm gently. "Catherine what are you doing here? Why aren't you in the living room with the others? The wedding is going to start in ten minutes-"
"Mom." I said breaking her uncontrollably rambling. "Calm down."
She nodded her head quickly making her short dark brown curls bounce. Her brown eyes looked into mine and behind the panic for the wedding I spotted sadness. I gave her a small smile trying to take that sadness away. "Let's go then."

People were siting down on the white chairs set on the lawn. It was breath taking with red roses everywhere and white petals on the walk way. The trees where looming above making shade yet allowing some sunshine to pass through. The smell the view everything was perfect.
"How are you feeling?" I heard my brother whisper next to me. I faced him to be looking straight ahead. I turned my gaze back to trees and sky.
"I'm fine." My brother didn't say anything and just keep looking straight. I followed his gaze towards a group of vampires who were guards. They wore all black like they were going to a funeral.
"Arthur don't even think about it, I will be fine, I promise." I told my brother, my voice coming out firm and loud.
He shook his head disappointed before walking away, leaving me feel even worse. Now I am not only lying to myself but my brother too.
"Mind if I walk you down the aisle? I know I'm not your father but..." I looked to my left to see a good old friend, Martin.
I smiled unconsciously since he was always their since I was small, he always knew how to make me smile.
"Did my mom put you up to this?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
He shrugged and kicked at the grass. I knew he didn't like vampires and well giving me over to one wasn't on his list.
"More like Arthur." He said. Sun rays shined down into his light green eyes and gray hair. Wrinkles were starting to show on his face yet he look young and healthy.
He looked up and instead of sadness -like he could mask his emotions- there was a bit of happiness.
"Arthur?" I said surprised. I thought he wanted me to run, from everything, from being forced into an unwanted marriage with a vampire. I guess he realized their was nothing to be done, nothing to run from.
"So you will let me take you down the aisle?" Martin asked with puppy dog eyes.
"Why wouldn't I? Your basically like a father to me." I said giving him a real smile, I haven't smiled since I found out Carson liked me enough to make me marry him.
"Okay then lets go and wait inside." Martin said guiding me towards the living room, but we pasted it and all the other doors full of people talking.
"Where are we going?" I asked as we keep walking. I had both my hands on my dress not wanting it to get grass stains. We were headed towards the metal gate, Martin leading the way.
Martin suddenly stopped and faced me, "I can't let you marry him. When you said it was alright for me to walk you down the aisle and hand you over to a vampire knowing how much I hate them shows how you lost your self to them. Vampire's, Catherine, the same kind, the same generation, the same monsters who killed my beloved." Martin hands grabbed my face making me look into his green eyes. My eyes were tearing up, once I remembered what happened 15 years ago to his wife. He told me how she died, how she found her. I found myself crying for her even though I didn't know her, but by how he explained her to me, she seemed like an angel.
"Martin..." I began, he doesn't know that his life is also in the line, I can't bear Martin or any of my family members die.
"Don't worry I'm coming with you." He said before pushing me behind him.
"What?" I said confused at what he is talking about.
"Shhh." Martin said putting his index finger to his lips, "Here they come."
I was about to say what he was talking about but out of thin air appeared two men, more specifically; two vampires in all black.
