Runaway Bride Chapter 4 -Lovely screams-
Dedicated to lil_diamond:)
I waved back holding myself together from breaking down and turned around and ran. The cold air was pushing down on me. I grabbed my dress tighter as I saw the gate from earlier. There was no vampire guards so I ran as fast as I could without tripping on my dress. The heels weren't helping.
"Miss Catherine, where do you think your going?" I heard someone say, grabbing my arm. I turned around to see who it was. Dylan, Carson's best friend.
"N-no where." I stuttered with his blue eyes looking intensely into mine.
"You were going to run away." He stated a bit shocked. "You were going to leave your most beloved here to die."
"N-no." I stuttered again when his told on me tighten, then soften.
"I guess Carson picked out a good one, beauty and innocent in the outside. Cold and evil like himself on the inside." Dylan said smirking.
"I am no monster." I spat out. He tighten on my arm harden.
He began to laugh coldly, "Ah, but you soon will be."
"What?" I said fearing what those words could mean.
"What he didn't tell you?" Dylan's smile was growing. "Its quite obvious that he won't keep a human as a wife for long. It might happen on the honey moon on that special night." Something flashed in his cold blue eyes when he said special.
"He w-wouldn't." I spoke my voice cracking.
"When two vampires love each other, you know what they do?" Dylan asked obviously liking my fear.
He continued without waiting for my reply. "They both drink from each other, its a passionate feeling that consumes you with ecstasy. Of course humans have different feelings." Dylan said pulling me against me body. I tired to get out his grasp but it was like fighting a statue.
"Oh the lovely screams and pleading." Dylan said putting his nose in my hair, his hands on my neck. I froze since he could snap my neck any second if he wanted to. But he let one hand fall to my lower back pushing me against him. "The lovely feeling of delicate skin being pierced, the delightful taste of human blood." Dylan whispered pushing away hair from my neck.
"S-stop, please!" I begged.
There was a sound of a knife piercing flesh and a gasp that left Dylan's lips. His grasp on me was weak so I got out his grasp only from him to fall. There was a wooden knife on his back where his heart should be. The only difference between Dylan and the guards was, Dylan's blood was red.
"Catherine," Martin breathed out relieved. He was out of breath, spots of blood on him be either than that he was fine. "Come on." He said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the gate. Dylan's earlier statement about leaving my mom and brother was as cruel as being one of them shook me up.
"Martin, I should stay. I wouldn't be able to live on knowing I left my mom and brother in the hands of monsters." I said trying to stop us both.
"Not again, look." Martin said stopping. "They won't get hurt them because they are thinking I am kidnapping you so they would come after us. They will kept your brother and mom safe for when they get you back." Martin said quickly and began to pull me towards the gate once more. I let him pull me letting his words sink in. Does he really believe that? He after all said they were monsters.
We passed the gates and I quickly took off my heels to be able to run full speed. We passed cars and cars until we came to the streets where there was nobody around. I spot a sleek black car running but not moving up ahead. Martin ran towards it pulling me along. We both quickly got in in the back seats, not even waiting for the doors to close the car speed off 100 miles an hour.
