Halfway through the meal, Alex just kept on flirting with me. I tried to act as if I didn't take notice of him trying to flirt and continued to eat my dinner. When dinner finally ended I went straight up the Jacob and stood by him. Jacob saw me and gave me a confused look, I whispered to him that I'd explain later. He nodded his head and we walked towards the exit before someone took a hold of my waist and pulled me back.
I was now facing Alex, he was scratching the back of his neck. He looked up at me and put his hands in his pockets, finally he spoke. "Uhm, can I get your number?" He said with a bit of nervousness in his voice, I looked at the exit where Jacob was waiting for me. I sighed and asked for his phone.
I typed in my number in his phone while he typed in his on my phone. Finally he gave me back my phone while I gave his back. I walked towards Jacob who put his arm around my waist as if giving a hint to Alex that he's going to protect me from his bullshit. I smiled and we continued to walk towards the car.
Mom smiled at us and pulled out her phone taking us picture of us. "Geez mom. Making everything a memory?" Jacob chuckled as our mom looked at him and spoke.
"Well duh! Mandy is new to the family and I better have pictures of you two getting along so all the other mothers get jealous of your friendship!" Mom said before getting in the car while looking at the picture. I smiled at looked at Jacob who was about to burst into laughter.
We both got in the car while this time I sat in the front and Jacob sat in the back. I buckled up and started playing games on my phone while I had my earphones on. Currently I was listening to Melanie Martinez, and the song was Cry baby.
God I remember when my dad once bought me tickets to meet Melanie. I was beyond happy, I have pictures and a video of me meeting her. It was the best thing that happened in my life when I met her, she was so nice and I loved her outfits.
Finally we got home and I got out, mom unlocked the door and we walked in. Jacob going to his room to change while I went to my room to change as well.
Mom just went to the kitchen to do something else. I walked to my room and shut the door locking it behind me. I grabbed some sweatpants and a sports bra, I changed and took off my makeup.
I headed downstairs to see Jacob with a gray shirt on with sweats on while sitting on a stool facing the kitchen counter. He was talking to mom, about some school stuff.
"Hey." I said when I walked in. They smiled at me as I grabbed an apple and started eating it.
Taking a seat and listening to their conversation I noticed that mom wasn't as happy with what Jacob was telling her. "Jacob...we can't. Not after what your father told me. We can't send Mandy to public, at least not yet..." Mom said as she walked up to me and put her hands on my shoulders.
