Hade's Pov

"Come on, what do we need to get?" I whined

Mario pulled out the list from his cloak. I noticed people glancing at us and muttering, studying us nervously.

"Hahaha guys look. They're nervous! Hahahahahahahaha!" I laughed. The people seemed more nervous now. Mario looked up and seemed to notice this for the first time.

"Oh, Hade. You scaring them more. It's the cloaks." He said while pulling down his hood. The rest of my foolish family pulled theirs down too.

I huffed "Fine." I pulled down my hood. The people were now talking curiously. What did they think we were? We aren't tall, we are just wearing a cloak. The people are staring at us like we're weird?! They are the ones that are wearing colorful robes and had these weird shops!

"Okay here's the note." Mario said. Once again we took a while reading. I finally made it out.

"Where are we going to get money for this?" Biancole asked

"Maybe father will give us the money for our birthday tomorrow!" I shouted excitedly.

A dark shadow flickered over me as something flew downwards toward me. The thing flickered down and landed on my shoulder playfully, wait playfully?, nipping my ear. I looked up and saw the skeleton of an owl. It nipped my ear again, this time harder.

"Ow! What do ya want?" I asked it angrily

"Oh Hade. Your too focused on one thing. Don't let your anger overcome you, take the time to notice things." Mario scolded while coming towards me.

"What do you mean?" I asked a little ticked off that he's not elaborating.

He unfurled a note off of its leg.

"No ones even paying attention to this bird, meaning they don't see it as a skeleton and you didn't even notice a note that was clearly right there on its leg." he said while starting to read the note. After he was done he handed it to us and we started to read, grateful that it was in Ancient Greek.

"Dear children,

I made the bird so it appears as a regular owl to everyone else. Three more of them will be coming and they will choose you, you don't choose them.

In the envelope is a key to the bank vault 666. Take whatever you want, it's all yours. Make sure you watch out for the goblins. Don't fight them, but they don't like us, beware.

Your early birthday presents are in the package. Don't open it until tomorrow.

Make sure you send a note to the school that you are coming. Mario you are in charge, make sure Hade and Nicolo don't kill each other. Stay peaceful Biancole.

"Yes, I hope it's a good present!" I shouted when I finished reading. I tried to rip the package, that I hadn't noticed, from Mario's hands.

"Uh uh uh!" he shouted "not until tomorrow, you know what happens when we don't listen to father."

I cringed " I thought we decided to not talk about that!"

"Sorry! I just thought you needed to remember why we're not opening it now!" Mario said frantically. I felt his regret wash over me.

"I forgive you." I said then it dawned on me "All this time I thought I was just somehow understanding and feeling your emotions, but I think you're doing magic on me!"

"I didn't mean to! Its- it's- it was accidental magic!" he shouted and once again I felt his emotions, shocked and sorry.

"Fine, just stop doing it. Now lets go get that money!"
