Spear the Boy with the Ball

I ran after my brother Mario in Elysium, playing an intense game we came up with called 'spear the boy with the ball' (based off I game I play with my cousins) My brother Hade ran along beside me, his green shirt fluttering. My own red shirt flipped and flew about annoying me.

I saw Mario ahead, a blue blot against the ground. My other brother, Biancole and his annoyingly bright yellow shirt were nowhere to be seen.

I laughed as Mario tripped in front of us. He didn't even want to play but Hade stole his book and threatened to feed it to Mrs.O'Leary if he didn't play.

Biancole was so peaceful, knowing him he was probably talking and messing around with the people in Elysium. Hade found that weird, like when your parents introduce you to a relative that you apparently met when you were little and don't remember and then they expect you to get along like you've been bonding for years. I don't know that feeling first hand though. I read a book, because of a bet, and the character said that.

It was weird reading that book. We don't leave the underworld that much. We never went to that camp Hade overheard father and grandpa talking about. We usually stayed down here with the dead while father did paperwork. That sounds really boring, paperwork, but it was about ghosts and when things went bad down here, well not really bad 'cause its always bad, but more when something not supposed to happen happens, father helped.

I know father tries to be a good parent, but he is still young and not a people person. I remember whenever we were bad he would just glare at us, but he mostly let skeletons babysit us. But, he is nice, whenever we got hurt or had a nightmare he was there to comfort us, 'cause skeletons don't comfort. Now we are not 'fraid of much, except Father and Grandfather. We live in the underworld and were mostly raised by skeletons.

But I knew father cared he just had a weird way of showing it. He was also very young when we were born. He was 14. Now he is 25, even though he still looks like he's sixteen. He's not immortal just has a never aging sort of look to him.

He tries to be a good parent, but didn't want to be a parent whatsoever in the first place. I love him though, and so do my brothers.

I ran after Mario, unsheathing my Stygian sword at the same time Hade did. Mario sprung up, still holding the tennis ball, and unsheathed his own. Me and Hade swung at the same time towards his legs, Mario jumped and tried landing on our swords. Dam him and his always having a plan. He tried this one on me earlier today though so I knew what he was doing and quickly pulled away.

Hade not knowing what Mario was doing, just stood there stupidly. Once Mario landed on Hade's sword he frantically pushed me on top of Mario resulting of us falling on top of each other.

He quickly cut Mario on his leg, meaning he could take the ball, grabbed the tennis ball and ran.

I groaned and started to push myself off of Mario when a crushing force landed on me. Me and Mario yelped in surprise at the same time. I wiggled and struggled, but managed to flip myself over to find a giant black paw on me.

"Mrs.O'Leary!!!" I shouted "get off!"

Her rough tongue scratched my face and then she lifted her paw off my chest. I quickly rolled off Mario as he gasped for air. O'Leary nudged me with her nose, meaning she wanted me to follow.

"The others too?" I questioned. She nodded.

"Mario, go find Biancole! I'll get Hade." I turned to Mrs.O'Leary "Wait here."

We both shadow traveled away. I concentrated on about twenty feet in front of us. Once I popped up there I couldn't find Hade. I turned around and was trampled by an angry and confused Hade.

"Awww. Cheater! You said no powers!" he shouted

"Someone needs us. Mrs.O'Leary showed up" I explained.

"Oh, alright. This better be important. I was winning!" he shouted frustrated.

We shadow traveled back to Mrs.O'Leary and climbed atop her, where we found the other two waiting.

"Lets go!" we shouted in unsion and was Mrs.O'Leary bounded into the shadows with us, taking us away into the darkness.

Sorry it's so short, it'll start to have longer chapters when they actually get to Hogwarts. Also, when they get there there will be two new teachers from the set of characters from Percy Jackson,  so yay.
