The Road Not TakenTwo roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.-Robert Frost
Awakening. At Unknown Time of day. Traveler or Travis for short if you please, came right out of the ground. He Literally just sprang out of the ground. Before him there was mounds of light sand creating a dessert terrain before him for his eyes to watch. The blood red sun just above the far out version shown some light on the situation (okay bad pun). Travis rose up to start walking. He didn't know where he was. In Every direction there was sand.
"Alright" he muttered. He didn't have any idea where he was and didn't. have anything to aid him in inventory. Travis looked to the sun. He followed The sun. He wasn't sure if the sun led somewhere. What seemed to be about Thirty minutes tired him. The area was dry and completely lifeless. What scared him the most was the feeling he was being watched somehow. Even though he was supposedly alone he felt he like was being watched.
Some other minutes of walking passed. Travis looked to check his watch but he realized he didn't have one. In the distance there seemed to be something grey. He walked closer to it. When he got there he saw it was a huge rock, no a mountain. A grey mountain in the middle of an abandoned dessert. He walked around the mountain. It was the only thing he had. His brown jacket had sand all over it and so did his gray pants. While circling the mountain he noticed a door. A simple wooden door. But he knew that meant something. It wasn't locked either so he opened it and entered the mountain. He walked thorough a hallway where there were other doors. Inside all the rooms layer paperwork, old rotten food and other junk. He slowly crept in each room but nothing was valuable to him. Though he did find a map that might help him navigate.
"Travis" he heard a foreign voice call. He immediately answered "Who's there?" .The voice creeped Travis but there might be someone who lived here. Travis slowly walked in. Through the final door. He saw. No one. No one was there. But the Voice called him again "Travis, come here." He realized it was the wind but how can the wind speak. He followed the wind's cold blow. The long hallway led to a doorway. The door his name on it. Travis scratched on front of the door. He opened it. With bravery. Inside a old man sat down to next a sword. He wore clothes sandier then Travis'. He smiled. "Travis" *cough*, he had sounded just like the wind. I knew you would be here. A million questions just filled his mind. Like What is this place?, who are you?, why am I here and a bunch more. Travis began to ask the old man why he lived here. The man said "shh." Then he smiled again "Travis there is not time. Take your sword" Travis looked more closely at the sword it was an iron sword that wasn't too long or too short (perfect if goldilocks were on a hunt) he thought. He laughed inside at the thought, but then was serious again.
The sword weighed perfectly and felt good in his hands. "Thanks" he said to the old man. "Who are you?" "I am no one" he spoke "I take form as the winds" "Look to the wind for guidance." "Okay" he said. "and take this as well" the old man placed a satchel in from of him. "It can store as much as you need but when you are in the presence of him things will change" "Who?" "I've said too much."
