He eventually finds out someone...

Travis and Crow ran down the board walk. Travis' magic satchel didn't weigh at all and he was carrying a bottle of Stygian iron transforming liquid(or iron drop for short), his sword, his weird magic map, and a plastic wrapped sandwich Crow had given him. "If you ever get hungry you can just snack." Crow panted we need to hurry we're a bit late.
Around stone walls, grey trees, red shrubs, and broken skulls and bones the two ran in a hurry. Travis guessed that they were heading to the barn. The terrain was different on the island then from Travis was before it was rocky but more flat because it had less hills and there were plants here. The plants were not very Life like. The plants were either plastic or made of shadow so they weren't exactly real. Travis had a creepy feeling he was being watched.
Travis and Crow had reached the barn. "Okay are you here?" Crow asked looking up. Suddenly the man from the mountain appeared in front of them. "We must hurry and prepare before they detect my presence." The three walked into the barn. It was almost empty except for a table, hay stacks, a Skeleton chicken and a scarecrow.
"We must begin" the man said. "The man seemed so wise and experienced." The man patted Travis on the back "I've trained heroes before my boy." A question suddenly popped into Travis's mind. How old am I? "Hey Crow how old do you think I am?" "Nine-teen to be exact. And your birthday is in ten days." "How?" Travis asked. "My friend here knows and sees all. He has trained many people and fought a great villain once." "Enough about me" the old man chimed in.
Travis walked over to the table. "So how am I going to train?" "A true hero takes any challenge and has great strength and speed. In other words you must run fifteen laps around the barn, do thirty push-ups, and punch that punching bag.
So Travis trained. It didn't go well. He fell multiple times doing laps, also he tripped on the Skelton chicken, and collapsed from the push-ups. When he got to the punching bag he punched wrong. Travis punched without blocking. "No you've got it wrong" guided the man in the mountain. You have to protect yourself as well. Travis and improved his punching. "Very good" the old man said. "Now you must-" the old man shuddered. "I-I feel it. He knows we're here. Hackett Knows we're here." Everyone was alarmed. Crow looked up form the scroll he was examining. "We'll get that training done soon." "No" the old man said "Travis come here, I need to give you something." Travis walked to the old man. "Yes?" "I need to give you something you will need on your battle." The old man grabbed Travis's hand. He muttered some words in some foreign language. His eyes flowed white and Travis felt like he gained something. "What happened" "the old man looked pale" I gave you my powers." Travis was wide eyed. "You mean I can wind travel?" "Yes the old man coughed. You can also Get into the fortress as wind you won't be seen.
"Thanks" Travis thanked "I will remember you." "My time is close Travis." The old man coughed. He fell onto the floor and his eyes rolled back into his head. "No!" Screamed Travis he held the old man listening for a pulse. He kept searching and listening even after he knew he had died. "Why did he die?" Crow sobbed "He helped us." Crow walked over he payed the body out in the open and his body faded into the grey fog.
"We have to go" Crow said and began walking away. "Also I had not told you but Stygian iron kills skeletons the best." "Oh" Travis said. He took his bottle of iron drop out. He dropped a drop onto his sword and instantly the blade turned into a darker metal that reflected the death of its opponents. Travis felt cold. The old man died and he had to beat Crow's brother because it's what the old man would have wanted him to do. "The Fortress is close." Crow said. "I'm sorry but I can't go in there with you." "Why?-" "no I just can't." Crow said. "Remember to use your powers, look for my brother, and do your best good luck." "That's it?" Travis looked to where Crow just was but now he was gone.
Travis slung his satchel on and held his sword. He walked into the fortress. "I can't wait to see you King Hackett" he thought.
Authors note: It has been a delight writing these chapters but I will submit the chapter when my book gets at least 50 readers. otherwise I may not because not enough people may not be reading this book. So be sure to tell people about this book so it adds more purpose for me to write this. Also I don't know if my writing style is neat enough because I don't space between paragraphs very well.
