Traveler is a man. Though that is all he knows. He awakes in the deep barren wastelands of who knows were. He meets His new sort of Friend Crow but the gloom of this ghost town is strangely enough until he sees more.
He eventually finds out someone...
Crow didn't know what to make of Travis but he knew he needed to guide him somewhere secret and That secret place would stay secret.

Travis hated himself for who and what he was. He didn't know anything, he couldn't defend himself, and worst of all he was mortal (which seemed to be bad). Crow and him Have been waking for a while now. Crow told him that they need to follow the black river. The black river held broken dreams. Traveler could make out all of the items in the black river. There were baseballs, some cars, bikes and buildings. Eventually the river split into two.
"I just don't get it" said Travis "what?" "Why don't I remember anything?" Crow frowned. "I don't know why. If you are in need of your old memory, I know a guy." Travis needed to know where he came from. "There was a man, in the mountain, he knew who I was." Crow cleared his throat "he goes by no name, but you can look to the winds to hear his voice. Travis realized that was why he felt like he was being followed two chapters ago. The man could take form as wind.
Travis eventually spotted some figures in the distance. "So I can talk to the man from the mountain right here?" "Yes." "Hey!" Travis said "Who are those guys?" Very slim white figures were gathered in a circle with some cars, bikes, and some other junk that must have been scavenged by the river. "Put this on" Crow instructed as he handed Travis a hooded cloak identical to his. Travis put it on without question.
"Those are skeletons" Crow said "They don't like your kind" Travis felt offended. But why would Crow act so strange, was Crow himself human? "Walk behind me" Instructed Crow. "Then-" started Travis. But it got louder It got a lot louder. A White see-through figure was hovering in the center of skeleton crowd. A Ghost. Hoots, hollers, and screams could be heard from the rally. Travis heard them argue about whether or not it was better to be a Skeleton or a ghost. Crow didn't seem to listen on the argument. Travis was about to ask him something but Crow told him to remain quiet. Travis guessed these guys were bad news.
Crow pointed towards the car. "What?" Travis asked "Go inside it" Then Crow marched up to the Skeletons. Travis expected something terrible to happen as he glared from the car's backseat window. Crow seemed to be negotiating with the skeletons. Everything seemed normal to Crow here, but Travis felt the exact opposite.
"Lord, Crow" said the tallest skeleton as he bowed down in his presence. "Greetings you before me. I am just passing through so you go on with your day." "And I am not Crow, I am King Hackett." "Sorry" said the skeleton "I thought Crow carried a staff" "I'm carrying it for him now" Crow convinced the Skeletons. Another skeleton joined in in the conversation. "So where is lord Crow?","I heard he likes humans" muttered a sandy skeleton. "yah he did terrible things" another said. Soon everyone was gossiping on Crow. "Silence" said Crow "don't talk about my brother." Brother? Thought Travis. Crow has a brother who's a king?
Crow realized he hadn't thought his whole plan though. He made Travis wear a hood to disguise as him and Crow was pretending to be his brother. Carrying a staff that kings weren't supposed to hold was odd enough but when Travis came out of the car as the King Hackett it would stir suspicion in the skeletons.
"Hey who's that?" Asked a Skeleton. Travis was caught with his head peeking out of the car's sun roof. "Darn it, Travis" Crow thought. "Uhh, Hi" Travis smiled. "Wait who are you?" Asked a Skelton who was holding a club. Some of the other skeletons were holding swords and daggers. Travis froze.
