Chapter 4: Out into the Wild

(IMMA gonna start labeling the titles for each chapter now! Anyways, onto da story!)

Seto's POV

Oh no... Oh Jeb no...

(Tyler? You there? XD)

3, 2, 1... They're gonna come in any moment now...

-1 minute later-

Thank Jeb! They aren't here which means that they don't know- *relatives rush in* Welp, bang goes the theory! I thought as my relatives flung open the door and rushed in, creating a little circle around the eight and me. Yes, I have that many relatives.

They started to fangirl-wait, some of them are guys so... they started to fanboy/fangirl upon the sight of the eight.

And there I was hoping that they had not noticed me when after they had fangirled/fanboyed enough about the eight, they turned to me and started to gush about how proud they were of me and how they knew I would be the one and whatnot.

I sighed in defeat and tried my best to push them away. Suddenly a voice spoke in my head.

Sky: What is going on?!

Me: Well, firstly, my family fangirling/fanboying over you guys, then my family being proud of me cos' I am the 'chosen' one.

C: Well, now what?!

Me: I'm not sure...

Suddenly, my great-grandparents both announced at the same time, " You eight will be treated well as you are our guests and we will lead you to your rooms later. Seto, we are very proud of you! We will treat you and your friends, or guests,appropriately. We will see you at dinner time, which is at 7:30 pm." I glanced down at the electrical watch that was activated using a sensor that was linked to the mind. I still had 2 hours to get out of this mess, and I planned to.

As I watched my relatives lead each respective person/statue to their respective rooms, I planned our escape. Yes, OUR escape. Got a problem with that?

(Yes, I have. Why not? XD)

A few minutes later, a plan was fully formed in my head, and it had a very small chance of failing. I was quite satisfied with myself to say the least.

I immediately started to tell my plans to the eight via telepathy. Before long, they had finished packing what they had needed without making much noise and managed to get backpacks to stuff the items into. Sad that the government hasn't made like foldable backpacks that have a lot of space or something. They only made it feel lighter when you carry it.

I stuffed in backpack my magic book with a purplish silver lock in which I noted down things which I thought were of importance to me, a portable brewing stand and some ready-made potions. I also brought a map with me and a set of clothes as well as my cloak and some other stuff. I telepathically told everyone to be really and brace themselves for the teleportation spell that I was going to perform.

I glanced at my electronic watch and saw that only 15 minutes had passed since 5:30. That would give us a lot of time to escape and for the magic trail that I was going to leave behind to disappear. I closed my eyes and concentrated. A few purple swirls appeared near my hands, floating, and I opened my eyes, which now glowed a royal purple. (That, for some weird reason, is the name of a type of colour for a wallpaper. Don't ask me why. Iz liek dat) A few seconds later, all the eight people poofed into my room.

Let's just say that some did not land as gracefully as Sky and Shelby. Cory apparently managed to land on the top of the closet that i had in my room, Red had faceplanted onto the floor, Jess, well, I'm calling her that as Jessica is too long, she somehow managed to land on my desk thatwas partially filled with books. Ross landed on the chandelier in my room, do not ask me why unlike that annoying author, *glares at author* *Author (proudly?) glares back* who always asks me why. Max poofed onto the window sill, but I guess Jin had the most comfy landing. He faceplanted onto my soft and comfy bed. Need I say more? (Yes XD)

After much shouting telepathically as we didn't want to alert my relatives and family members, we finally got the message of escaping via the window through. I first pushed Shelby and Jess through the window and after they had rolled out of the way, all the other guys went in twos. I went alone, after all, I was the odd one out. After the somewhat uneventful escape to Crystalwood Forest, the forest that was somewhat near to the mansion that I used to live in.

We all ran, not teleported, as it would make it easier for my relatives to track my magic aura and the general direction it went, leading them to us. We found a spot in the woods, a clearing surrounded by its trees, however,  the ones that surrounded this clearing were actual crystal trees with normal leaves that grew out of its crystal branches. Wait, this makes no sense and doesn't nice Author! What if you just made the whole tree crystal? Stop breaking the fourth wall Seto! I have enough problems to solve by patching it up already! And this is MY book, not yours, so I decide the plot! DX Okay, okay, I'm sorry, back to the story! 

We were deep enough to say that we were safe, for now, but we had to make a base to keep ourselves safe from the mobs that spawned at night, besides creepers of course, as I was one of their best friends, even though I was a human, kind of.

I started by summoning a tree sapling then grabbing some bonemeal from my backpack and making it grow to its full size. Then, one of the eight would start to chop it down with a iron axe they had managed to grab, along with a iron shovel, iron pickaxe, and iron swords. They even managed to nab some crystal daggers for all eight of them for defense. After repeating the process several times, we had enough wood to build our base with and with a few stacks left over.

As 7:30 rolled by, we were done building the base and we all chose our respective rooms in the base. I summoned 9 beds, one for each of us and gave it to everyone. I sat on my bed after plopping it in the corner of the room and closed my eyes and muttered with the hood of my cloak up. "Let the chase begin."

Hey my lil water elementals! I am so sorry that I haven't updated for a few days! I'm so sorry, but I really didn't have the motivation to update, and today was the day when my results for the national exam came out. I PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS I AM SO HAPPY XD I WORKED HARD FOR THIS. (KEYWORD: HARD. Not SO HARD) I will try to update more often if I have the motivation to do so, but _SB_Gamer_ , do not worry, at the end of the book for Hopelessness, I will credit you for the ghost hybrid idea. I will do that for this book as well (except this is idea pretty much original, but I will credit the people who gave me inspiration to write a fanfic like this as well). I hope you guys will have a wonderful day and either Amethyst or I will churn out a chapter for Hopelessness soon. (Most likely Amethyst) BYEEEEEE! ^v^ /(^.^)/
