Nightmare

This chapter is a little short but I DID just give you two long ones so bare with me :P 

Ashleys POV:

I woke up to the sound of whimpering. I moved to get out of my bunk before I realized it was my little Zara making those sounds! She was wrapped around me like a life line 

I looked down at her confused. Wrapping one arm around her to make sure if she rolled she wouldnt fall out of the bunk I stared down at her trying to process what was going on.

She whimpered softly and tried to wrap herself tighter around me if that were possible. Was my baby having a nightmare?

She whimpered again and her face contorted a bit so I decided to gently wake her up.

"Zara...come on my little one. Time to open up those beautiful eyes of yours" I whispered to very softly

"what?!" She asked opening her eyes quickly and trying to sit up as well!

I quickly put my hand on top of her head so instead of her head hitting the top of the bunk my hand hit it instead

"omph!" She exclaimed looking around like a frightened animal

"Zara! Zara baby calm down! It's alright" I said soothingly trying to calm her down before she hurt herself in the small space of the bunk

"Ashley?" She asked franticaly trying to find me in the darkness

"Yes baby it's me" I answered calmly as I reached up to turn on the little lamp in our bunk so we could see each other better

She blinked at the brightness at first and then she saw me looking up at her and collapsed back on my chest to hug me tightly and I felt drops on my bare shoulder

"shhh baby...it's alright now, I'm here" I whisperd in her ear as I wrapped her in my arms again trying to reassure her that I was indeed there

She continued to weep silently....she never is usually a quiet crier...ohhh she doesn't the rest of the guys to know that something is up

Thinking of ways to make her feel better and get her mind off of whatever her nightmare was I decided to sing softly to her

I heard her calming down a bit to listen to me

Finally she had stopped whimpering and was just clinging to me.

"Would you like to talk about it baby?" I asked her cautiously 

"...it was him...he f-found me and he t-t-took me away and was d-doing such horrible things to me! Not at ALL like how you m-make me feel...he made me feel dirty and icky! It was h-h-horrible Ashley!" She choked out 

"oh baby...here, look at me" I told her

It took her a few minutes but she finally looked up at me and I saw her eyes still brimming with tears.

"he will NEVER take you from me because he is NEVER going to get out. I promise you little one" I assured her

"How can you so sure Ashley?" She asked me 

"Because I just know it, you have all these people that care about you and would do anything to protect you. And how often are you alone anyway?" I joked trying to lighten the mood

"Actually....never" She chuckled along with me "You guys are always with me or John and Sammi are while you guys are on stage"

"See? You have nothing to worry about. Now try to get some more sleep? Once those assholes wake up they will wake the rest of us up and never shut back up" I said

"Don't let me go?" She asked getting that doe like look in her eyes again

"never" I assured her as she curled back in my arms again. Her back was to my bare chest and she was facing the wall. 

It was an adjustment sleeping with boxers on again after sleeping naked wife Zara since we got married but I refused to let one of the guys catch us off guard so I slept in my boxers and Zara slept in my t-shirts which came her mid-thigh so everything was covered. Plus she liked having my scent as close to her as possible even with ME right beside her! 

My little Zara wasn't relaxing so I started to sing the same song to her softly to lull her back to her dreamland. Once I knew she was asleep I fell close behind her as well.
