You dashed frantically through the woods, occasionally brushing through bushes and shrubs as you went forward at the speed of light. Your breath was hitched, and your paws were becoming dirty from all the loose dirt flying around as you ran.

What was behind you ended up pouncing atop you as you screamed then...

Licked your face.

You let out soft laughter and smiled, turning to nuzzle your face onto your friend's.

You and Tom were in the same pack, and became bored earlier that morning. As the lazy sun sat in the sky and the breeze gently shook the trees, you and your best friend decided to play a fun and easy game of tag. You loved to play this game, and it was good exercise for the both of you, and it also trained both of you in survival skills just in case a predator tried to chase after you, or if you had to hunt for some prey that happened to be faster than yourselves.

Your pack was a close knit group, and you all never usually stayed far apart. However, you and Tom were different. You were like two peas in a pod. In fact, some would say the both of you are lovers. You didn't know whether he felt the same or not, but you enjoyed his presence either way, so you decided to keep it to yourself. You didn't wanna' spill your feelings for him, becuase you weren't sure whether he felt the same. That wasn't to say he didn't, however.

On occasion, the two of you would lie near each other, like you were right now. Tag was tiring, and whenever you finished, the two of you were a panting mess and you would lie down to rest. Tom would always look at you and smile, and he would lick your cheek timidly to show his affection. Many friends within the pack did this but somehow when he kissed you it seemed so much more intimate than that.

Tom's grey and white blended fur was so soft to rub against, and it was comforting to feel him nuzzle against your (F/C) fur.

So as you lied down to rest and took a glance at your pal Tom, you noticed how intent and strong his gaze at you was. You tucked your face into your paws shyly and let out a whine, feeling embarrassment creep up on you. The emotions you felt towards him were so obvious, but why were his so tough to decode?

You tossed your feelings of anxiety and worry away and decided to give it a shot.

As Tom dreamily looked at you, you surprised him by scooting closer to him to the point where your snouts touched, and then you gave him lots of wet kisses upon his mouth. When you stopped inundating him with smooches and looked at him, he repeated your previous actions by shyly tucking his face into his paws and giving you that same embarrased look as you'd given to him.

You sat up and cocked your head curiously, wondering what he would do next. You watched him slowly uncover his face, a wide grin on his face. Out of the blue, he leaned over and peppered you with lots of kisses in return for the love you'd already given him. This wordless but meaningful "I love you" the two of you had shared made your beating hearts flutter in joy,  and you felt a wave of happiness rush through your body.

You lied back down on the forest ground and listened to the birds chirping, the gentle blowing of wind and the soft quiet breathing of your partner. He lovingly gazed into your eyes, enjoying the moment.

After a while, a devious smirk crept onto his face. You slightly tilted your head, the curiosity of his sudden mischievousness confusing you. Suddenly, he bopped your nose with his paw.

*BOOP!*

He snickered and got a quick start into darting off, and you were officially it. Oh, it was on. You bolted after him and the grand chase of tag the two of you shared begun once again. ~
