It was a bright and sunny day, a young noble and her maid were walking back to their mansion with a few bags in the maid's hands.

"Oh I'm glad that we were able to find that new dress! Now I'll have something to wear to the ball!",the young noble said excitedly. Her long brown hair ,curled and permed, were bouncing slightly as she took each step. Her warm green eyes sparkled as her maid spoke,

"Yes my lady, I'm sure you'll look beautiful in the dress." She spoke, her short, black hair flowing as her ice blue eyes met the eyes of her young mistress and added, "I believe it's best that we get back to the mansion now, the last I believe any of the staff would want is seeing hurt.."

The young noble giggled and said, "Oh it'll be fine, I have you after all! But I agree Marcia, let us go home at the fastest pace!" She then ran as fast as she can in the suffocating dress she was wearing. "My lord wait!" Marcia yelled worried and went after her.

Time skip to later that night
The once bright and sunny day had turned into a quiet and peaceful night. The mansion had become quiet, as the young noble and her staff were asleep, away in their blissful dreams.

Well, most but not for Marcia. She was walking around the mansion, the sound of her flats clicking against the floor lightly echoing in the hallway as she double checked to make sure that every window and door was locked and had a small amount of garlic sprinkled around the edge.

All around the country were these creatures called vampires who were blood thirsty and willing to find a helpless victim to suck blood from. They might look attractive at first glance, but they are rumoured to have long bat like arms, sharp claws and teeth, their faces will be caving in and have many wrinkles, and they will be hunched over with the scariest look in their blood red eyes when they are seeking for people to drink.

Marcia soon reached to the last accessible window only to find it wide open, she shivered at the thought of there being a bat flying around here, vampire or not. She decided to still sprinkle some garlic in front of the window but forgot to close the window once she turned around to her young mistress's cat knocking over a vase and meowed at her.
She sighed and thought, "that damn cat..." She went to get a broom from the closet, making sure to get the brooms with the end of the sharpened handle*. She then went to clean up the mess on the floor when she suddenly heard a groan in corner of the hallway she was in.

The maid only had enough time to turn around where she was almost pinned onto a wall. Her attacker was the vampire described in rumors, the only difference is that he had brown hair and tattered expensive looking clothes. Marcia harshly swung the brush end of the broom onto the vampire's head, making him stumble back clutching his head. His eyes glint in anger and snapped the brush end of the brown, leaving only half of the broom in Marcia's hands. Marcia had enough time to run to the other end of the hall and take out a bottle filled with holy water from the cabinet and pour it onto the end of the broom, with fear evident in her eyes.

The vampire bared his monstrous fangs and charged at the maid at full speed, she waited till the last minute and stepped to the side, grabbing the monster's collar and plunged the stake-like broom into his chest. He screamed out in pain with his bloodshot eyes nearly popping out their sockets, as the maid quickly pushed the vampire out the open window and onto his supposed death.

Marcia quickly locked the window and leaned on the wall and slid down slowly, her breathing shaky. After a few minutes that seemed like hours, the maid got off the wall and stated to walk back to her room to retire for the night. She tried to keep her mind off what happened just now by looking at the beautiful paintings placed thoughtfully on the wall. Some depicting of beauty of her young mistress, while others showed scenes of warm and happy events.

The maid steps however came to an abrupt stop as she stared at one particular painting in horror.

There was the painting of her young mistress, Jenet Elkins, posing gracefully with her older brother, Joel Elkins, a young noble with the same brown hair and clothing the as the monster she just pushed down out of the window. The maid fell onto her knees at the realization suddenly struck her.

She, Marcia Capper,

had just killed the young mistress' brother...
