Caleb's POV

"Ugh....my head. everything hurts." I mumble to myself.

I slowly crack open my eyes but shut them quickly when the light makes my eyes feel like they are being dug out with a spoon. Why did I drink so much? I don't even remember most of yesterday! I try to open my eyes again and this time successfully. The light made my head want to explode but i needed to know where I am.

Thank goodness...I'm in my room.

My pounding head is almost unbearable so I decide to take something for the pain. I roll off my bed and slide my hand under the mattes, pulling out a bag of small white pills. This'll help. I throw three in my mouth and swallow them quickly, then flopping back onto the bed.

I throw my arm on the other side of the bed to hear a piece of paper crinkle. What the heck?! I reluctantly open my eyes and see a note on the bed.

Please don't be what I think it is...

I pick the thing up and squint my eyes so I can read it.

You were amazing last night. Call me when you need anything else.

Oh crap...not again.

I groan and lay my arm over my throbbing eyes. What have I done with my freakin life? I used to be such a good kid. Spirited but good.

My thoughts then go to the day that's changed me. What changed me into this mess.

"Caleb, could you help? I can't reach!" Amberley screeches.

I chuckle at her attempts to reach the ball that got stuck in a tree. I swear, she's so short! I wrap my hand around her wrist to stop her jumping and easily grab the ball out of the tree. She huffs crosses her arms over her chest.

"I would've gotten it eventually..." she mutters angrily.

"Eventually." I laugh at her broken pride and spin the ball on my finger.

She tries to snatch it out o my hands but I quickly hold it up, out of her reach. He whines and starts trying to jump for it. I just lift it even higher and smirk.

"If you want it, I want payment." I say.

She grumbles something under her breath and glares at me.

"Fine. What do you want?" She spits out.

Whoah, she's fuming.

"A kiss." I say sweetly.

"N-No!" She looks nervous and her cheeks turn a bright red.

"I guess you're not going to be playing with this ball then." I look up at the ball and then back to Amberley who is tomato red from anger and embarrassment.

"Fine..." she mumbles.

"What? I didn't hear you." I say cockily.

"Fine! Do you want me to spell it out for ya?!"

With that I lean down and capture her lips with mine. They are so soft and sweet and they mold perfectly with mine. She doesn't pull away, she just stands there, frozen.
