Emotions are vibrant, true.
They surge through you,
changing you, shaping you.
Much like a river smooths a stone,
you are not aware of its power.
Soon, it begins to take over,
nothing like it have you ever felt.
Your warmth turns to fire,
burning you from the inside out.
The beauty you thought it procured,
used against you.
You are confused,
isn't this supposed to feel pleasant?
Unconditionally, you stay despite its prodding pain, too afraid to leave its side.
However, everything beautiful is sharp and painful in its own way.
Every rose comes with thorns,
every up is followed with a down.
