After about fifteen minutes of incredibly perilous and reckless flying, a break of about five minutes in the middle of the empty valley between the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade (where Elsa may have slightly tortured Jack into grovelling at her feet and promising to never fly like that again until she magicked his hair back onto his momentarily bald head...Elsa:1, Jack:1) plus the remaining seven minutes of uneventful flight, Elsa and Jack were finally able to touch down in Hogsmeade.
Once Jack was able to properly lock up his broom, he pulled out his wand in order to begin writing down a to-do list of sorts for their errand run.
"Alright so I was thinking a stop at a hair and makeup stylist or something to cover up all your more "magic-y" features, you seemed worried about it earlier but if your hair isn't already a dead give away for your frosty elemental status then the literal ice that shoots out of your eyeballs whenever you glare at me will be. So we should work on getting rid of those, and then a bit of a shopping spree? You don't strike me as the type of girl with a passion for fashion on a regular basis, but I would prefer it if you wore something nice to dinner anyway. Then some lunch, and we can run over some back story on how we met and other junk to make this believable for when we speak with my parents, how does that sound to you?" Jack rambled, using his wand to write down each item of his mental list into the air for Elsa to see. Elsa, in the meantime, gave Jack an unimpressed look.
"Anything else about my identity you plan on mocking and then altering for your benefit?" she deadpanned. Jack had the decency to look sheepish for a moment before laughing and shaking his head at her.
"Awe c'mon Arendelle you know I adore and admire your highness just the way she is but unfortunately, your Bookish Witch vibe would ruin my master plan! Can't have you blowing our cover with you turning up looking like the picture that shows up in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them textbook when you look up 'Abominable Snow Woman'" Jack begrudgingly used a hand to wave away the list he had written in the air as he spoke.
"Abominable Snow Woman? Really? I might have all the looks of an elemental witch but I hardly if ever use any of my ice magic. At least I don't have a painfully obvious name stating my elemental lineage like Jackson Overland Frost" Elsa grinned, pleased with the way her final remark made Jack give her a deadpan look of his own.
"That's right, I don't think I've seen you use intentionally use your ice magic since second year at the very latest, why is it that you don't use it again?" Jack's rebuttal was enough for Elsa to lose her self-assured smile. She promptly turned away from Jack and began to march towards the hair salon at the other end of the street.
"Let's just get this over with." Jack, knowing better than to press her any further, merely adding a mental tally.
"That's the spirit!"
(Elsa: 1, Jack: 2)
After about 20 seconds of walking, Jack yanked her into a boutique and set off to flip through hangers on the men's side, leaving a stunned Elsa to her own devices in search of her new muggle wardrobe. Despite being a wizard town, the boutique supplied clothing of a more subdued and for the most part, less extravagant style, meaning there was enough selection for Elsa to get lost in the cotton blends and chiffon blouses. Within a few minutes, she found herself entirely overwhelmed and completely uninspired.
Unfortunately, Jack was able to catch on to this quickly.
"Having trouble finding your dream dress Arendelle?" Jack asked, peering over Elsa's shoulder at the article of clothing she was idly holding between her fingers. Elsa, startled by his sudden appearance so close to her, jumped and turned to Jack to glare at him.
"It's..it's fine..." She mumbled, pushing aside a few hangers, metal hooks shrieking.
Jack winced in response "Going that well huh," he stepped in beside her, filtering through the hangars and pulling out the articles he seemed to deem fit until he pulled out a skirt but then paused to turn to Elsa. "What's your size?"
