They had been holding hands all day – every chance they got – obviously people would talk about this.

Jimin was one of the few who didn't mention the handholding. He had come into school after Hyunsoo and Jinyoung, looking rather lost and upset, and was simply staring at them saying nothing. Another person staring at the new couple was Jungkook. He had an expression on his face that screamed 'annoyed-but-don't-want-to-care', though Hyunsoo had no idea why Jungkook was acting like this.

Throughout the day, Hyunsoo found herself spending most of her time with Jinyoung. They even spent break and lunch together, causing Jimin to be left alone to hang out with either Hoseok or Seulgi. She didn't know; she was too occupied with Jinyoung.

At homeroom, she finally went up to Jimin's desk to talk to him for the first time that day.

"Jimin, how have you been today?"

He looked at her, for a moment saying nothing. Hyunsoo was about to leave, thinking he won't talk when he suddenly replied, "I'm fine. I won't bother asking you though... I can see you're doing great."

It became awkwardly quiet again, and then, Hyunsoo said, "Well, I was thinking, maybe we could do something after–"

"Hyunsoo!" Jinyoung came over, joining the conversation, "Hey Jimin! How are you?" and without waiting for an answer, "Hyunsoo, come here for a second."

"Uh," Hyunsoo said faintly, looking at Jimin, before suddenly being pulled away by Jinyoung.

"Shall we go to my house after school today? I realised that you've never visited me there!" Jinyoung said.

Hyunsoo shot a nervous glance at Jimin, but then nodded. "I'd love to."

"Great!" Jinyoung smiled and left for his friends.

At that exact moment, she also heard a loud deep sigh come from somewhere behind her, but she ignored it and moved back to Jimin, although he was already getting up to leave. "Sorry Jimin... maybe tomorrow then?"

"What's happening?" Jungkook asked, right in Hyunsoo's ear from the back.

She spun around, finding herself face to face to Jungkook's chin. She looked up and met his cold eyes. There was something in his eyes that seemed similar to what she had seen in Jimin's eyes. She quickly stepped back.

"Nothing," Hyunsoo answered, looking away; looking anywhere but at Jungkook.

"Jungkook, are you walking home with me?" Jimin asked, completely ignoring Hyunsoo.

"Sure," Jungkook said, then looked at Hyunsoo some more, before picking up his backpack.

As they left together, Hyunsoo saw Jimin look back at her with an odd expression. It was something she couldn't pin point; something she couldn't figure out.

At Jinyoung's house, Hyunsoo forced herself to temporarily forget about Jimin. She didn't want to make herself worry sick over this situation. No matter what, she didn't want her mind diverting to how her best friend won't talk to her properly anymore. She wanted to be happy for a while, especially with her boyfriend now. However, it wasn't made to be easy when Jinyoung suddenly pulled out a DVD disc and put the same movie on that she and Jimin had watched at their first sleepover.

"It's a great movie to watch in a pair," Jinyoung said, smirking.

Hyunsoo thought of Jungkook, and how he had stared at her. Was he really annoyed with her too?

After a while, Hyunsoo started eating some junk food to calm her nerves. It was the food that Jinyoung had brought up for the movie. For some reason, Hyunsoo felt time pass by really slowly. She just wanted the movie to end already. She wanted to go home.

No... she couldn't be feeling like this. She was with her boyfriend. She should be happy.

"I'll be right back," Jinyoung whispered, when it was finally half way through the movie. He got up to leave for the bathroom.

As soon as he left, Hyunsoo got out her phone and sent a text to Jimin.

Jimin! What are you doing now? I missed you all day~

She pocketed her phone again and continued watching the movie, though she hardly paid attention. Her mind kept wandering to Jimin and Jungkook walking home together. She wondered what they could have talked about. She wondered why they were mad at her. She wondered all sorts of things... things that lead to Hyunsoo becoming fidgety and impatient.

She constantly kept checking her phone for the rest of the evening. It felt like she wasn't even with Jinyoung. She was spaced out... somewhere far from everyone. She checked her phone, but no reply came. Even later at night, when she was sitting on her bed, no reply came through.

Out of frustration, she started pacing her room. From the corners of her eye, she unexpectedly caught Jungkook on the balcony again, this time with his grandma. She stopped and quickly went right up to the window.

There was something happening... something she had never expected to see. Hyunsoo squinted her eyes to look closely at what was happening. She didn't care that she was acting like a stalker, or that there was a chance that Jungkook might see her, because what she was seeing right that second, shocked her so much, she forgot all her other worries.

Jungkook is crying.
