The next day, Hyunsoo didn't waste any time at all to fill Jimin in. She left out Jungkook's story, since she promised she'd keep her mouth shut, but she couldn't stop herself from telling Jimin about... Hyunsoo wouldn't even stop blushing every time she thought about that one moment from last night.
Jimin didn't bother hiding his grin for Hyunsoo, and he started making up future scenarios just to tease Hyunsoo. His reaction was exactly as she had expected, though he couldn't question much on the matter because they were in the middle of a quiet art lesson.
"What happened next?" Jimin whispered as quietly as he could.
Hyunsoo thought back. She had been slightly flustered at first, but when she saw Jungkook smirk after the kiss, they went back to their usual behaviour in no time.
"What are you smirking at?" Hyunsoo was blushing furiously.
Jungkook tilted his head and rested it on Hyunsoo's. "Ha."
"What? What's that supposed to mean? Jungkook!"
"Psshh, can't even enjoy the moment quietly."
"I- You-"
"Yes?" He stretched the word mockingly.
Hyunsoo stuck her tongue out and ignored his laughter.
"What are you blushing at?" Jimin whispered again.
"Nothing," she said quickly, hiding her face with her hair.
Hyunsoo and Jimin weren't sitting that far away from Jungkook. Although they were a seat behind him, they could hear Sohee trying to make conversation with him quietly, so it wasn't a big surprise when they suddenly caught the words "Hyunsoo" coming out from Sohee's mouth.
They swiftly snapped their attention to the pair in front and pretended to work, itching to hear the rest of their conversation.
"Jungkook, are you even listening to me?" Sohee was whispering softly.
Jungkook didn't reply, or at least Hyunsoo didn't hear one. She didn't see his head move either. From what she and Jimin could see, he was concentrating on his art work.
"You only ever pay attention to her! Why are you so mean to everyone else?"
This time, Hyunsoo heard Jungkook's response. "Hyunsoo is not the only one. I have Hoseok and Jimin too... and some others you don't know."
"Well, the rest are all boys." Sohee flicked her long hair back and put her arms on the table to rest her head down. "Why Hyunsoo?"
"I don't know what you're asking me, especially over this amazing art piece I'm working on. Fuss over this little issue later, or not at all for all I care."
"I'm not fussing. I'm pointing out that you're wasting your time with someone like her."
"How do you know anything?"
Hyunsoo saw Jungkook finally look at Sohee, who also sat up to look back at Jungkook properly.
"I'm just saying, for your sake-"
"Don't waste your time caring for me. I don't need it."
The art teacher chose this time to stand up and say. "Leave your work on the table! I'll put them away to dry and you can come back to collect it after school."
And then, the school bell went off.
"I can't believe this bi-"
"Leave it Jimin."
Hyunsoo was too frustrated to talk about this now. She didn't want to think about how there was another person to add to the list of people who disliked Hyunsoo.
They were on their way to the next lesson. She hadn't stopped to say goodbye to Jungkook on the way out of class. Hyunsoo didn't want to face him after what Sohee said.
"I thought Sohee was alright..." Jimin said, voicing Hyunsoo's thoughts, but then he smiled. "Did you hear the way Jungkook backed us up? He said he has you, me and Hoseok!"
Hyunsoo smiled, though her mind was still on Sohee.
They turned a corner and were walking up the stairs, when they heard a shout from behind them.
"Hey look! It's that girl we met near the beginning of the year!"
Hyunsoo and Jimin stopped to turn around.
"She was the one with Jungkook and Hoseok! What was her name?"
"Hello," Hyunsoo said, walking down and bowing to her seniors. Jimin followed. "It's Hyunsoo."
"Hyunsoo!" It was Seokjin who was talking excitedly, standing next to a smiley boy who Hyunsoo knew was in her own year, as she had seen him a few times in her lesson.
"Hey Hyunsoo, how you doing?" Yoongi asked, joining to stand next to Seokjin. "This is Namjoon, by the way."
"Hey."
Hyunsoo nodded smiling at Namjoon. "And, this is my friend Jimin."
"Nice to meet you. Well then, we better get going for lessons, but it was nice to see you again," Yoongi said, and as they all bid goodbye, he added, "I'll need to talk to you later."
As Hyunsoo and Jimin were walking up the stairs again, Jimin said, "Wonder what it's about... somehow, it doesn't feel like a coincident that we ran into them."
"We'll find out soon," Hyunsoo said, looking down at her phone, where Yoongi had typed his number in for them to 'talk later'.
In their next lesson, which was science, Hyunsoo and Jimin were unfortunate enough to, this time, listen to the gang TTS gossip.
They slumped down on their seats with a grim expression - not caring that they looked moody as hell.
"God, what did we do to deserve this? Answer me!" Jimin groaned dramatically.
"Kill me now," Hyunsoo whispered to Jimin.
"Together. We'll pull the trigger at the same time," Jimin replied, mocking a retarded wink at Hyunsoo.
They both started giggling quietly, though others around them still looked at the pair as if they were crazy.
"Guess what I found out today!" Tiffany whispered fiercely.
Jimin mimicked her face. "And now, today in 'the most stupid gossip you'll ever hear'!"
Hyunsoo tried to hold back her laughter by covering her mouth. Jimin snorted.
"Apparently, Sohee has a crush on Jungkook!"
Jimin's mouth fell open. Hyunsoo fell off her chair.
