She's different

Why?

I am basically running right now to make it to my new job on time.

My day so far has started out as crap! Nothing and I do mean nothing is going right, my power was cut off this morning so my alarm didn't go off, so I woke up late, I spilt hot coffee on my white blouse and I didn't have time to change it, I missed my bus so I had to get a cab, the cab driver then hit someone, so I had to get out of the cab walking away not even paying for it.

So now I am running trying to make it to this job on time that I can not afford to lose!

I finally get to the big building, but before I get to it I stop running and begin to straighten myself up, trying to act and look professional. I walk through the sliding doors and I remember what the lady told me last night. I go and wait with other people to get on the elevator, stepping in I move to the side where the buttons are making sure I push the last number at the time which is 36 and wait. I feel like I've been on this elevator forever! Everyone else gets off and I am now only one, the elevator door opens and I see a huge beautiful receptionist desk.

I walk over to the desk seeing no one at it I am stumped on what to do. "Uh...hello?" I call out. Looking around I see no one in site but I certainly don't want to just walk around not knowing where I'm going but looking at my watch again, I don't want to be late. So I walk past the desk on one side and I come to a smaller desk set between two offices doors with a complete set up as I turn to leave one of the doors open.

"Ah! You must be Miss Blue?" A very soft spoken voice says I turn to see a very nice looking older man he has gray hair but he rocks it with confidence. He has very warm brown eyes too he looks very familiar but I am pulled from my thoughts by him. Holding his hand out I shake it. "So I'm Lucas Lupo but you can just call me Lucas, I own this whole business, well almost all of it my son owns half his office right over there but he's normally not in much for he owns his on business now so he's just a silent partner. "Anyway..." He states rubbing his hands together. "Let's get you caught up on what you need to know. Please follow me." I nod and follow him.

____After Work______

I walk into my apartment tired, I don't even bother with trying to put away my things. I just instantly just fall on my little bed. I lay here thinking of everything I need to remember for tomorrow. I am very happy with my new job, my boss is amazing he's so nice. I am hoping this is a new beginning for me and my mother.

____Two Months Later____

I stand here trying to pick out an outfit for today I am coming into work on my day off for my boss since he has paperwork up to his head. I will say my job is long some days and involves a lot of paperwork. However, it's been a huge blessing.

I can actually keep my lights and water on without them getting cut every other month. My mother is doing better with the money I am sending the hospital and they are able to go forward with her treatment.

My life is going very smooth for once and I can't help but to be happy.

I pick out something very sensible and get myself ready. When I'm done I grab my bag and walk out the door. Honestly I feel like a weight has been lifted off of me no pressure and no having to be someone's slave. I smile at the thought of being treated the way my boss has treated me.

____At Work________

I stand here waiting to get to my floor, I watch as each floor dings on the elevator. Finally getting to the top floor the doors open I see Jenny at the front desk, she's a beautiful middle age red head, me and her have become good friends and sometimes we eat our lunch together.

"Hey Jenny how are you?" I say as she looks up shocked probably to see me here. She knows this was my day off.

"Girl?! What are you doing here?! It's your day off." She asks shaking her head.

"I thought I would come in for little while to help out Mr. Lupo, he seems like he had a lot to do today." I reply walking over to her desk.

"Honestly, I don't think he needs you today. You might just wanna go home." She says her voice getting higher. I stare at her trying to figure out what's her problem. She's acting weird.

"Jenny I think it's going to be fine, honestly I'm going to let Mr. Lupo know I'm here." I say walking past her she grabs my arm stopping me.

"Listen Mr. Lupo son is here today things are very different when he's here, I'm telling you I would just go home." She whispers her face is full of mixed emotions.

"Okay....Jenny I'm just going to go ask Mr. Lupo if he needs me today or not, if he says no then I will leave." I promise her gentle tapping her hand from my arm. She lets go reluctantly while sighing. I walk back towards my desk and put my things down. Straightening myself up I go towards his door I knock. I hear a loud come in and what I see when I open the door shocks me to my core.

"Sam? Nick?"

"Lily....."
