'I can't believe you didn't let me buy that!' Joe exclaimed as we came out of the shop, 'That's like, a quarter of what you'd need to pay in Cheydinal!'
'I know, Moses, I know, but when I was reading about the Imperial city, they said the Waterfront was where all the beggars and the thieves would hang about. You deserve better.' Joe looked at me, exasperated,
'I just think we should check it out before we make any stupid decisions. We can try the inn there, I think it's called The Bloated Float or something.' I smirked.
'Fine, fine; we can check it out, but I am not staying at that inn, I read about that place. Did you know it's a boat! We could end up floating away!' Joe rolled his eyes,
'That's Meredith for you;' he said to no one in particular, 'Always the drama queen.'

The two of us followed the directions given by the guards until we reached the waterfront. We eventually managed to find the house We were offered. Well I say house; it was more like a shack. A man approached us, 'So, you two must be looking to buy. I'll admit, it's not the best; but you two, you look like you've been dealt a bad hand in life... That's how people usually end up in the waterfront district, we're family here, we keep to ourselves mainly, at each others throats half the time, but only to survive, because in this place, if someone disrespects a family member. They disrespect the entire family, them people don't tend to last very long. Follow me, there's an abandoned shack just down here; slightly bigger than the average house, but you can get the gist of the whole place.' We followed the man into the shack and looked around, talking to the people inside and accepting their bread and mead.
