Chapter 19: Mask 仮面

"So Yui is alive!"

Excitement burst in me as Moa said that Yui is just at the next room. It's like I was freed from all the guilt that I have during these past days, or maybe weeks, or months. I have no idea. I lost my track on time since my admission in this facility. I can't even tell as to whether it is already day or night. I don't know but the lack of windows in this building gives me a strange feeling that I am in a place where time is irrelevant anymore. Well at least there are some ventilation fans everywhere which makes the atmosphere cooler but still heavy.

"Kitsune-sama, we should save her now and leave this place."

"Ok, Moa. Just stay close to me, no matter what."

"Sure, I will... I mean, yes, my god."

This is a bit absurd but the way Moa treated and talk to me is just like she's speaking to a high official, or maybe a god. She is shaky and treats me with high reverence. I think there is this flipped person who disguises himself as Kitsune-sama and fools Moa with this. I won't be surprised if that person is that pervert doctor.

I tried to open the door but just like the previous room, it is locked. Without hesitation, I swing my axe to open the door. There's no other way which I could react. I don't care if the banging of my axe will alarm the personnel here. Well, I could just chop them off. I have a weapon. As we enter the room, we see Yui sitting motionlessly on her bed with her straight jacket tied up. She's staring at nowhere and seems unaware that we just broke the door and came in.

"Yui!"

Moa throws herself to Yui and gave her a tight hug. The next thing that happens shocks me. She gave her best friend a passionate kiss in the lips. And it is not just a simple passionate kiss but it seems like a kiss of a lover to his beloved. She twirled her tongue to hers and slurps what's inside the distrait girl.

"Why did you do that?"

"Huh? You are the one who taught us that Kitsune-sama. You said that when I see Yui, I should kiss her like that."

This Kitsune-sama is indeed twisted. And he twisted Moa pretty bad. I hope he didn't do something weird to Yui's mind.

"Yui, let's go out in here. We should escape here from the ogres."

"Kitsune-sama, have you forgotten that Yui is deaf and blind now?"

"What? How co..." I realize that I should act as this bogus god. "Oh! Yah, I just forgot. So, we should hurry now and escape from this place so that the ogres won't catch us."

"Yes, Kitsune-sama! We should escape."

Now I have this strange feeling that it's also this same guy who twisted Moa is the one responsible for making Yui blind and deaf, and possibly mute. She's not speaking any words since we saved her. We rush out of the room after we unlocked Yui's jacket and run. Well I don't know where we are going but I shouldn't make it obvious that we are lost. Heck, this building is like a labyrinth of hell. Where's the exit?

"Looking for the exit?"

What the heck! I know that familiar masculine voice. I turn my back and look at the man who said those words. He is a tall man wearing a kitsune mask.
