I Am Me

Chapter 4: five years later

It has been five years since I was born, and today I will go to the church to get my skills appraised so I can start studying for my future job. I happily got dressed in my good clothes and checked myself in the mirror.
Black hair down to my waist, for when every mother tried to cut it I'd throw a tantrum, my huge mismatched eyes surrounded by black lashes making them seem bigger. Pale ivory skin that would make a woman jealous and a slim figure that no matter how hard I trained it would stay muscleless. Overall I looked like a girl, just the way I wanted it. Hoping out of my room I'd go to the kitchen to help my mother out with breakfast.

Hurrying down the street, pulling my parents along, I'd rush excitedly over to the church all the while my parents were complaining for me to slow down. When we reached the big white building I'd look in awe at the statue of the goddess Rava, the goddess of life and creation. She was who I wanted to be stronger than.
When we entered we were welcomed by and elderly priest.
"Hello hello I welcome you. Are you hear to get your child appraised?"
"Yes!"
I'd say excitedly. Taking us along a hallway he'd nock on the head priests door. Opening it for us me and my parents would file in and the head priest would nod at me
"Come child, sit here" the elderly head priest would say and do I would sit on a chair in front of a crystal ball like thing.
The appraisal would start.
"Rava the great goddess please grant your wisdom to this undeserving child of yours! Appraisal!!"
A blue light would come from the crystal ball as he finished the and a screen like thing was projected into the hair.
