The She-Wolf and The Tigeress

Chapter 3

~Yes I am alive and I am coming back to write more for you guys. This story has to have been the worst to attempt to write because it was my first and I started work on it two years ago, which means I don't quite remember where I put my notes for this. So just bear with me as I work with what I have so that you all can enjoy this. To all my fans, I hope this story is what it was like before or even better. I hope you enjoy it.

     Kira's fear overwhelmed her and caused her breath to quicken. Wolves. There were wolves around them and wolves looked like dogs. She felt as if a hand had clutched her heart and was squeezing it as hard as it could. Kira was positive that Julie could hear her and the panic she was feeling grew. Only her foster mother knew of her phobia when it came to dogs and it wouldn't take long before Julie fit the pieces together. As much as she hated to admit it, Julie was the smart one.

     A  quick glance up told her everything. The wolves around Julie and her sister were curious but also wary. It would be unwise to make any sudden movements or sounds. As long as the wolves weren't attacking, Julie was sure that help would arrive to rescue the two of them. The only thing that may ruin the chance for rescue was Kira. It was her style to rush at a situation without putting any thought behind it. A low rumbling came from a few of the wolves and Julie glanced at Kira uneasily.

     "Kira. Calm down." She barely heard it but Kira made herself look at her twin. Julie gave her a reassuring grin but it didn't help. She could feel herself hyperventilating and she silently groaned. Of all the animal enclosures to fall in, they had to fall into the one that was secluded and hidden on three sides from the public eye. Wonderful. She was going to get bitten again and would have to go through all those painful rabies shots again. Or they would end up dead. "Stop it. Your arm won't be the only thing broken if you keep acting like this. " A gruff voice reprimanded me. "Oh? Then what should I do then?" She mumbled sarcastically feeling Julie's eyeson her and she brought her injured arm closer unconsciously. The movement caused some of the wolves to come closer and another howled in the distance. Oh crud. "You need to focus and slow your breathing. Don't let the panic and fear take over." Sighing, Kira closed her eyes and searched for something to focus on. A smudge appeared and the more she ignored what was going on around her, the clearer it became. Two little girls grinned back at her and although she could see herself the other was blurred. "Good. Now, take all the emotion you feel and direct it. "  Kira frowned but did as she was told allowing everything to gather in the pit of her stomach."Now release it!" She opened her eyes and saw yellow ones a few inches from her face. She clenched her teeth and with a scowl, she lifted her uninjured arm and spread her fingers.

     The blast roared in Julie's ear and she had to close her eyes from the amount of light that seemed to come from Kira's direction. Whimpers and yelps of fear rang out and she swore the ground shook like there was an earthquake. When she dared to open her eyes, she found herself lying on the ground. She stood up warily hoping the ground wouldn't swallow her up. What just happened? From what it looked like, Kira blasted wolves with a magical beam of light and caused the ground underneath them to shake. "I'm going crazy." She muttered to herself as she patted of the dirt on her jeans."Yep, that must be it. Just throw me into the loony bin now!" She tossed her hands up in confusion. Hysterical laughing could be heard from behind her. "Kira!" It took her a few minutes because the dust was settling but she found her sister against the wall they had fallen over. She was covered from head to toe in dirt and was barely conscious. But before she could give her twin a piece of her mind about all of this, a voice broke the silence.

"You two can make quite a mess. I'm impressed."
