Chapter 16 : 10-Meter Distance

~Yui's POV~

It was Wednesday, a very great morning for me. I walked to the school, once entered in, I saw Kaito leaning at the gate post. He was waiting for somebody I guess? And he was listening to music.

I tapped his shoulder, " Um... Kaito? "

He looked at me and took off his headphones, " I need to talk to you. " As he grabbed my hand and lead me to the back of a tree,

" What is it Kaito? " I said, panting heavily,

He turned his attention to me, " Don't ever go near Ryohei. "

" W-what? " I continued, " Why? "

" Just...don't. " he looked away,

I got worried, " This isn't like you Kaito, why can't I be with Ryohei-san? "

His face got more serious, as his tone, " I know I'm being a little selfish, but please Yui. "

Then I snapped, " Leave me alone then! "

" What?! " He had a so surprised face,

I faced him, " Stay 10 meters away from me. " I got angrier,

He looked expressionless, " Fine, I'll stay away, if that makes you feel better. " he went away,

I put my hands on my mouth of shock, ' What did I just say?! ' I thought to my self,

After a while, class ended, I was hanging out with Ryohei all-day-long. I started to get lonely when Kaito is not here, feels kinda..... empty. As I was going out, I saw Kaito at the bike stand, standing there, he was just holding his bike. I approached him, as he seen me coming.

" Stay away. " He shouted, not looking at me one bit,

I reached my hand to him, " Kaito-- " he cut me off,

" You told me to stay 10 meters away right? So be it. " He rode his bike, away from me,

Thursday, it was yesterday since Kaito was ignoring me. I really felt lonely, I can't call him, text him. He said 10 meters, so it has to be. I really really missed him, a lot. I went to school with Ryohei, our houses were near. We just often talk about class, and the sensei's. Everytime, I get to see Kaito at every moment, but he just acted like I wasn't there.

" Hey, Yui? " Ryohei said, as he tapped me,

I looked at him, " What is it? " not really showing any expression,

" You look pale for a while, you alright? " He sounded worried, " You better stay at home till' you're better. "

I shook my head, " No, I'm alright, thanks anyway. " as I looked back at the road,

He just looked back, " Okay then, as you say. "

We reached school, I sat next to Kaito, we weren't even looking at each other. Me and Ryohei talked nad talked at lunch, and at the phone, we really got close, more than me and Kaito did. As class ended, we departed ways. As I went home, I got to spend time with my mom, and I slept.

Friday, I can't belive me and Kato hadn't been talking for days, I really want to talk to him. I miss the Kaito I loved and cared for. I went to school, seeing Kaito at the front gate, looking at the top of a cherry blossom tree, he looked calm, yet sad, felt empty, just looking at his eyes, I went near him.

" Kaito....? " I looked at his face,

He looked at me and went farther, as I went closer, " Stay away Yui. "

" Please Kaito, I didn't mean it. " I puffed my cheeks, so he could smile a bit,

Kaito chuckled quietly, " You're really weird Yui. "

~~~Flashback~~~

Kaito was chasing me at the wide open field, we were playing. And he was the ' it '. We grabbed food after that, the one that Kaito's mom made for us.

" Ne, Kaito-kun! " I held his hand,

He looked at me, smiling, " What is it, Yui? "

I puffed my cheeks, " Look, look at me Kaito!! " I had flour on my face,

He laughed, " You're really wierd Yui. "

~~~Flashback End~~~

" Can we be friends again Kaito? " I smiled,

He slightly blushed, " Sure. " as he looked away,

I frowned, " Are you still mad at me? "

" No, no, its relaxing....in a way. " he turned around and put his elbow at my shoulder,

Thats the end of our chapter 16!! Well, that was kinda...tiring. Anyway, thanks for the help you guys, lets have a fun December, and I hope 2014 will be good.
