A/N: Hey guys! So things are going really well on the revamp! I'm on the second chapter now and it's nearly finished! I just need you guys' opinion on how I approach the next chapter and then I can begin rewriting it. As I have said in previous updates, the story is going to take a different turn and it's going to be a lot more complex and will delve a lot deeper into the world's history and stuff like that. I'm still really excited and I hope you guys are too. Please comment on the poll in the end of this sneak peek so that I can start writing the third part onwards :) Hope you guys enjoy and don't forget to comment!
"May I?" The elder asked shyly and his fingers grasped at the black mask that covered the brunette's face. Yixing's heart skipped a beat and he covered the prince's hand with his own.
"It's only the second night." He teased and Yifan's face faltered.
"We already know each other's names." The prince protested as he let his hand drop into Yixing's lap.
Yixing laughed, a tinkling silvery sound that made the elder's heart leap.
"Only if you take yours off first." Yifan did not even hesitate, yanking his mask from his face. Yixing marveled at the prince's beauty before gently removing his own. He was flattered to hear the other's breath catch as the moonlight struck him at exactly the right moment.
"You're so gorgeous." Yifan breathed, his hands going up to cup at the younger's face. The younger blushed as a large thumb stroked his cheek tenderly. He leant up, as if drawn by a magnet and their lips met in a sweet kiss.
Fireworks exploded inside of Yixing's chest and he felt lightheaded all of a sudden. No one he had ever dated had managed to make him feel like he felt around the prince. He kissed back with equal fervor and things were starting to get heated when the clock in the distance chimed.
Yixing yanked backward. He had been so distracted that he had forgotten the time. A quick glance at the clock hands told him what he already knew. He needed to leave.
Should Yixing:
- Attend the third ball (things happen after)
- Be interrupted on the way and never makes it to the ball.
