"Hey, Elyn." Shiloh Foxenwood said, joining his friend of two years, Elyn.

She never revealed her last name to him, so he couldn't really consider her his best friend. Not yet, anyways.

They were sitting next to each other on a tall mountain facing the sunset, and this was their regular meet-up spot.

Shiloh was a scrawny, short boy with messy brown hair, curiousity-filled blue eyes and skin that was tanned from working under the sun too much.

Elyn, on the other hand, was tall, developing muscles, had long black hair tied back in a ponytail, pale skin and hazel eyes inherited from her dead mother.

"Hi." Elyn replied.

Their weapons laid next to them. Shiloh chose a longsword as his weapon, and he wore armour passed down from his father. Sure, it was rusted and looked cheap, but it worked.

Elyn's weapon was a heavy duty bow made from stolen steel. She had iron boots, which were perfect for kicking someone in the nuts. Other than that, she wore no armour. The two sat there silently, listening to the birds chirp and whatnot.

"Who is it tonight?"

The two whipped their heads around to see the titan of the group, Kenneth. He was the tallest of the group at approximately one meter and eighty centimetres. To add on to his staggering height, he also worked out frequently, and only wore the heaviest armour that even Elyn could barely lift.

"Queen Suzume, and if her three sons get in the way, they're going to hell with her." Shiloh replied, running a finger along his recently sharpened longsword.

"They're just children, though. Can't we get Kenneth to barricade their bedroom doors until the deed is done?"

Elyn rose from the ground, staring down at Shiloh with threatening eyes.

"Fine, fine. Kenneth, is it fine?"

Kenneth nodded, unsheathing his twin daggers. There wasn't anything remarkable about it. Wooden handles, steel blades. Kenneth was a simple man with simple goals, so the daggers matched him perfectly.

The trio set off towards the Hitakowa kingdom, ruled by the corrupted queen Suzume Hitakowa. She poisoned all the men in her family in order to rise to power. If she were to be killed, her eldest son, Nahito, would be the one in charge instead. Nahito was known for being a studious boy who had a sweet personality. Definitely not fit to be a king, but everyone was sure he'd be a better replacement.

Before heading up to the kingdom gates, which were heavily guarded, Elyn changed from her usual all-black clothing to a more simple, modest, handmade blouse with torn pants. Shiloh passed her a basket of fresh fruits that they had stolen from the market nearby, and then gently placed her bow in Kenneth's hands.

"You really sure this is going to work?" Elyn asked, her eyebrow raising.

"Hundred percent. Meet in the banquet hall in thirty minutes." Kenneth gave Elyn a bear hug, before nudging her in the direction of the gates.

Elyn approached the gates with faux sincerity. The guards immediately pointed their weapons at her, and commanded her to stop.

"State your intentions."

"I'm here to supply the kitchen with fresh fruits - I heard the almighty Queen Suzume was craving for some, so I decided to come from my parents' farm. I just want to please the Queen."

The guards looked at each other quizzically. One of them stepped forward, grabbed a peach and took a bite out of it. "You may proceed to the kitchen. Anzar, accompany her. You never know, she might be a fruit-bearing witch."
