You could see in her eyes that she was far from being ok.I know my friend very well and she was not ok.
Katie had been suffering from kidney failure for quite a while and she could never find a healthy donor.
When Katie came back from school that day there was mail in front of the door.She wondered what it said.
"I wonder what it's for,don't mind if I do.(she said very shady)
*She opens the letter*
THE LETTER SAID
GOOD DAY MR AND MRS JOHNSON
I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE TO YOU THAT WE HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM WITH KATIE. IF IT IS OK WITH YOU, THAT WE TELL HER ABOUT OUR DICUSSION. I WOULD LOVE FOR US TO DISCUSS WHAT I HAVE NOTED IN MY LETTER AND MORE TUESDAY MORNING IF POSSIBLE

"What the hell was this!!,what was the discussion about?,what did they have to tell me?"
"I didn't know we keep secrets in this house, what ever it was I was gonna find out and very soon!"
"Oh great my dad is home"
"Hy Katie"
"Hy dad,you know what I feel so betrayed, do you know how much it hurts to be lied to"
'Ohh sorry baby,what's wrong?,before that fool ruined my angels day how are you?"
"What ever it's fine"
"Ok, you know the drill I'll be upstairs"
"Yea yeah ok"
I was so surprised he didn't see the anger the hurt the betrayal in my eyes.I don't know,it just irritated the hell out of me to know he was lying to me.I was sick to my stomach.It pained me to even give him the letter.How could he do this,wowww!!!
Typical typical parents.They've always taught me Katie don't lie,Only fool's lie,Katie this Katie that.Uuuggghhhhh!!!!!!!! dude don't tell me to do something you can't do yourself.
I really did not feel like talking to anybody after seeing this.I couldn't even look at them right now.
"Hy baby mommy's home"
"Hy*says irritatedly*"
"Why do you sound so sad"
"Nahh it's nothing"
"You know you can tell me anything"
"I wish I could say the same" *she said silently*
"You know right?"
"Yeah whatever,oh yeah you have mail"
"K thanks, love you"
"If you say so"
Katie went upstairs to her room.
And said
"You know what I'm tired of being miss goodytoshoos
I'm tired"
She got into bed and slept. Katies mom was still very confused why Katie was acting this way.She went to the living room and opened the letter.The first thing she recognised was that it had been opened already.And she knew exactly by who.She ran to Robs office (Katies dads name)
"Hey love did you see this letter?"
"No darling"
"Well it's from Dr.Jacobs"
"Open it"
"Its already been opened"
"By??"
"I think we both know who opened it"
They read the letter.Ohh no Rob I can't lose her now not now!
"Yeah I know me too but I'm sure she will understand"
"What if she doesn't??"
"Then we'll cross that river when we get to it, OK?"
"OK,wanna eat?"
"Yeah why not"
"I'll warm up your food"
"Isn't Katie joining us?"
"No I think we should give her some space for now"
They ate supper.Katie woke up early in the morning and drove to Kathies house.
*She knocked on the door*
"Hy Madi"
"Hy Katie"
"Where's Kathie??"
"In her room"
"OK thanks munchkin"
Katie ran up to Kathies room.She was still sleeping.So she decided not to wake her.So she chilled in the meantime.
"Oh hy Katie when did you Come?"
"Long time"
"Stalker"
"What ever,so how you holding up"
"Well I can't complain"
"Ok good,cause I have something to tell you!"
"Spill!!!"
"Yesterday I found mail outside the door.Opened, read it.Dr.Jacobs wants to see my parents and I on Tuesday,they had a discussion and are now ready to tell me"
"Whaat really!! are you scared??"
"No just angcious,eager and nervous to find out"
"Just a shame I won't be here with you"
"Why???"
"My mom's funeral remember"
*her voice cracks*
"Ohhh yeah"
"K you know sometimes I just miss her so much,you know like hearing her voice,feeling her touch"
*breaks down into tears*
"Its fine Kat no one is asking you to be strong for anyone,it's OK let it out"
Cries and cries for hours.Just screaming out one word "Why,why,why!!!!!!!"
