No. He couldn't have said that. A day? How was she supposed to make up for everything in a day? She slowly looked up at him, fear and pain evident in her once sparkling eyes.

"A day? That's all? Dean, there's so much I want to say... So much to do... A day isn't enough..."

Walking closer to him,  she bit her lip in attempt to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall.  She..loved him. How was she supposed to work up the courage to tell him that in a day?

"It's okay.. I'm here /now/. And I'm going to make this the best damn day of your life. Everything's gonna be okay, babygirl... I promise."

Jo nodded, her face against his chest as all the memories of them started to flash before her. Everything from the first time she looked up into those damned green eyes, the REO Speedwagon, and everything inbetween to the final minutes of her life. The feeling of his soft lips against hers; the first and last time he had kissed her. And God, did she long to kiss him again. She knew he did too, and Jo was actually surprised that he hadn't made any moves already. But here they stood, in the dark, holding onto each other as if it was the last time they were ever going to see each other. And in a way, it was.

Everything was going to be okay. What a fucking lie. Dean was going to die in less than 24 hours. Everything was definitely /not/ okay, yet, he kept telling her it would be. A few tears slipped from his closed eyes, staining his cheeks.  After deciding that them standing here in the cold wasn't going to help with much, he led her to the Impala, taking her back to the bunker.  It was fairly late, and she probably wanted sleep. Leading her inside, he kept an arm around her at all times, not caring that Sam was staring.

And God, was he pissed.

But yet, sad at the same time. Sad for Dean, because he knew that Dean truly loved this girl. He was also sad for Jo, because she looked so happy, and he knew that she was going to have to let go of him soon. But he kept to himself, giving Jo a small hug before heading off to bed.

Dean led her to one of the spare bedrooms they had in the bunker, leaving her alone after about another ten minutes of hugging to let her sleep. She had cried endlessly, he could tell she was tired from it. Dean had slipped into her room after a while to check on her, thinking she was out, and he could tell that she had been crying. And that she had stolen one of his shirts. He smiled down at her, slowly moving over to crawl into bed behind her, practically engulfing her with his arms and legs. He rested his chin on her shoulder, kissing her cheek softly.

"I..don't belong here."

He quickly shifted, a little scared that she was awake still. Looking at her concerned, he kissed her cheek softly again.

"Yes, you do... You always have.."

She sat up, moving out of his embrace, shaking her head.

"No, Dean. I don't. You always said that what's dead should stay dead.. So, why did you bring me back?"

Jo was standing now, and Dean slowly made his way over to her.  He didn't want to leave her side. He wanted her to be by him; he wanted to hold her, feel her presence.

"I missed you, Jo... I've always missed you. I never want to leave you again.. I want you to be by my side forev-"

"How the hell are you going to do that if have less than a day left? How did you expect this to work? I mean, yeah, you always seem to come back, but what if you don't this time? What if I lose you again? I can't lose you again, Dean.."

He had gotten relatively close to her, moving his hands up and down her arms. He didn't want to lose her either. And there's a high chance that he /won't/ come back this time. I mean, he had at least 100 times. It was about time he was done.

"Everything's gonna be okay, baby..."

"It is?"

"I promise it will.."

He leaned down, his lips inches from hers, his voice deep with lust as he pressed her against the wall.

"I'm going to make you feel like you belong."
