- First I would like to start of with a authors note. This is based off my first season as a color guard girl. But Valentine is color guard captain. I do know what I'm writing about. Third off some of these are real high schools. But commonly used names. Fourth can we appreciate my drum major from this year. She's the girl one on the cover.

Valentines POV
Let me tell you as someone with experience falling in love with a fellow band geek is hard. Especially when their from your rival school. Hi, my name is Valentine Winters color guard captain of Mountain View High Schools Marching Band. Yeah, you may think 'haha band geek' but here at Mountain View we take our marching band very seriously.
Let me tell you some useful information. I have two brothers who have supported me through all my band geek years. They both are graduated and went off to college. My mom how ever was always too busy. But now she can free up her schedule seeing as I am her only child left. I also now have the better room which is a big plus. I'm a junior this year. I'm 16 years old ,5'3", with dark (almost black) hair and green eyes. The problem is I noticed this really cute guy. Sadly he's the drum major for Stafford High Schools Marching Band. Our rival school. Plus he'll never notice me.
