Dear Diary,
I just came back from the South, it felt like Angela's perfume was all over the atmosphere. I swear her ghost is haunting me, and I can't handle it. Sometimes I really wish I never asked her why she was changed; I didn't know it would turn out this way. Mr. Osbourne looks really tired, I'm afraid his Order is on its way.
Speaking of Mr. Osbourne, he liked all my photographs and he asked for them all. I'm glad I have extra money this month. He refused to display Sam's picture though, reminding me of his policy that no one's photographs should be displayed without their permission. I'm glad he didn't take it, now I have a piece of her in my drawer.
He also gave me a map to the factories and the town. Downhill isn't on the map, but all the known tales say that it is in the town. It's frustrating. There must be a place where all the folders of the people in Downhill are hidden, I have to find it.
There's an excerpt on the back of the map and it says that Downhill is in the centre. The centre of the map is completely blank, with no paths or roads. Blank.
25 days. Today was tough, I can't help but think of her.
Love,
Alex.03/01/1948
