Chapter 6

"I can't believe I'm stuck babysitting," Peter frowned. "Is this kid even related to Tony?"

"No, it's actually Hawkeye," Vision said calmly, holding Clint's hand.

"Wait, seriously?"

"Yes, it was a scientific accident... though Thor claims it's magic."

"So this little kid is Hawkeye?"

"Correct."

"I'm not little," Clint pouted.

Peter sighed. There wasn't much to do, but he liked kids and enjoyed encouraging them to be braver.

Once they arrived at the park, Clint instantly went for the monkey bars. Peter watched warmly as Clint made an effort to reach the bars.

"Here you go, Clint," Peter smiled, giving Clint a boost.

"Thank you, Uncle Peter," Clint smiled back.

"I bet you play a lot with your family. Do you play with your family?"

"No... Daddy beat me every time I made a noise. He also hurt Mommy when she was busy playing with me."

Peter stared in shock and horror. Did Clint's dad really beat Hawkeye as a kid?

"Peter, I'm going to grab us some water," Vision called.

"Okay..." Peter replied, still processing what Clint had said.

"Where are Mommy and Daddy now? And where's Barney?" Clint asked, now concerned.

"Barney?"

"My big brother."

Peter stood there in silence, unsure of what to say.

"I'm back," Vision replied.

"Geez," Peter stumbled back a bit. He placed Clint down and frowned at Vision.

Clint laughed, "Uncle Peter surprised."

"Oh, you're laughing at me?" Peter joked.

Clint ran off, laughing, while Peter chased after him.

"I don't see the humor in being chased," Vision frowned.

"It's called tag," Peter laughed.

"Tag?"

"Yeah, you tap someone and that person you tap is 'it.'"

"Tag!" Clint tapped Vision and ran away.

"Now what do I do?" Vision asked.

"Chase Clint."

That's what Vision did. After about a two-hour game of tag, it was time to head home.

"Can Uncle Peter come over tomorrow?" Clint asked with pleading eyes.

"You have to ask Uncle Tony," Peter replied.

"Okay."
