In the view of the confession letter that I wrote I was trying to lean toward she was a Schizophrenic. the letter itself was suppose to be messy and confusing because she herself was a bit out of it. the "stories" Patrick told her were indeed true. the police found out of all the things mary had been doing and put her into a special care unit. the letter ended up starting as a confession letter and ending as a suicide letter. now mary being a Schizophrenic would explain toward the end why she claimed to still see her dead child and Patrick. if there are any questions you have about the letter I would be more then happy to answer them.
