December 25th
Christmas Night.
June's hand floated over the rim of her untouched cup of white hot chocolate. She blew the surface and watched as the steam momentarily cleared the cold fog which covered the Starbucks window that she sat by. It was dark out.
June didn't particularly like Starbucks.
And yet she returned because today was December 25th and she was alone.
Jessie bore a grin on his face as he stood in line and waited for his turn. He had already been waiting for a good ten minutes when, at last, he was beckoned to the front.
The woman manning the till didn't look a day over thirty but had enough piercings to scare a grizzly. He glanced up at the drinks menu before finally deciding on a Gingerbread Latte, hoping that the festive drink would raise his spirits.
Jessie loved Starbucks.
He would much rather a home cooked family meal though but today was December 25th and he was alone.

Next update: Tomorrow :)
Merry Christmas, everyone!!!
