I awoke to the sound of my alarm blaring an ear-piercing squeal that I'm sure could awake my whole entire neighbourhood. I reached up to switch it off and read the time: 6:31. It's so early in the goddamn morning, I wish I could just go back to the summer when I could sleep in until 3 in the afternoon if I really wanted to.
It was my first day back to school and I was not feeling it one bit, practically everyone at my school hated me because I didn't have a single bit of interest in the things they liked to do: Sex, Drugs and Alcohol, and more importantly, Parties. I was different, but I wasn't sure if I had realized it just yet.
I threw on an outfit: Sweatpants and a hoodie, because as you can easily tell, I really couldn't care. I glanced to my alarm clock: 7:01. I have an hour to finish getting ready, that's not enough time.
I ran downstairs and walked into my kitchen to find my mom cooking pancakes.
"Hey mom!"
"Hey sweetie, ready for your first day back to school?" She asked.
"You wish" I replied.
My mom and I really didn't get along, we were like two different people, even though she cares for me and stuff, there's something off about her and I can't quite put my finger on it.
"I know, it's hard for you at this school, but we can't just switch high schools, it's not that easy." She stated blandly.
"But it is mom, you don't understand how hard it is for me at this school", I replied.
"Well, with that outfit on you aren't going to be impressing anybody." She stated snarkily.
"I'm not trying to impress anybody, I'm going now" I replied angrily.
I opened the cupboard above the oven, grabbed a nutrigrain bar, closed it and walked away quickly before she even had time to reply.
I pulled on my black vans and was on my way, to the place we all call hell.
