*Prepare for a long chapter, please read everything, I think you guys will really like it. Also, if you watch the video and want to skip straight to the part where the sleep paralysis is happening skip to 3:16*
A couple nights ago, I was laying down and going to sleep after my mom woke me up at 4:30 in the morning when she had to go to work. So, I was going back to sleep and I was like in that in between state of sleep and being awake. Suddenly, when I was trying to turn over, I couldn't. It was like I was frozen, like someone was sitting on my chest or holding me down. I was still like asleep so I didn't realize that I was having sleep paralysis, like it wasn't registering in my mind. I honestly still felt like I was sleeping, like it was a dream. I felt like someone had their hands wrapped around my throat, choking me. I couldn't breath, but it wasn't like I was having lack of oxygen if that makes any sense.
I was panicking and I was trying to move, but I couldn't. It was like I was stuck. I was too afraid to open my eyes, which now that i'm looking back on it makes me happy because, I know you can hallucinate, but like at the time I wasn't thinking about that at the time, I was just scared.
I actually heard whispers, which I assume was another form of hallucination.
It lasted about 5 or 6 minutes, but it felt like forever. When I finally could move again I shot up and I was sweating, breathing hard, crying. It was the scariest thing I have ever faced and I can't imagine what would've happened if I opened my eyes, what I would've seen.
It was terrifying and I was like terrified to go back to sleep because, I was so sure it would happen again.

Here's some info about Sleep Paralysis from some actual people who experienced it, myself included.
*It feels kind of like you woke up dead.
This is completely true. It's like you have this feeling of chills, like your cold and stiff.
*It happens when you're falling asleep or waking up.
For me, it happened while I was falling asleep.
*Sleep paralysis can involve hallucinations.
Luckily for me I didn't have any, except for the noises.
*You can't just wake yourself up.
No matter how hard you move, no matter how hard you try to open your mouth to scream or talk, no matter how many times you blink your eyes it doesn't go away, you don't just wake yourself up.
*Sleep paralysis is actually a natural occurrence and can happen to anyone.
Which means it can happen to you or anyone else.
*...But it's most common among young adults and people with a history of mental illness.
Which is most the people on Wattpad and most of you reading this story.
*So avoiding sleep paralysis might be as simple as getting better and longer sleep.
So stop reading this and go to sleep like right now. I'm thinking about your health, I promise.
*RISP can last up to an hour
I can't imagine being stuck in sleep paralysis for an hour, I could barely handle five minutes.
*If you sleep on your back, what I consider to be a vulnerable feeling sleep position, you're far more likely to experience sleep paralysis and all its accompanying terrors.
