Y/N's POV

Lauren stuck to her word; later that night we were curled up side by side in a cozy blanket, eating ice-cream with the biggest spoons we could find.

"God, I'm gonna get so fat." Lauren groaned, coincidentally while eating another spoonful of ice-cream. The remark elicited the fiftieth laugh from me that afternoon.

"Okay, that's the funniest joke you've made all night, Lo." I pointed out, clutching at my sides when the laughter that wracked my body started hurting.

"It wasn't a joke." Lauren grumbled, crossing her arms with a pretend pout spreading across her lips.

"Funny that." I stopped mid-laugh to raise my eyebrows and make a confused face. "It sure sounded like a fucking joke to me."

"Suck a dick Y/N."

"Eww, no thanks." I made a face at her insult, making it obvious that I was disgusted.

"Yeah, that would be pretty gross." She agreed with a giggle, to which I elbowed her in the ribs (not to hard of course).

"Don't you go trying to change the subject on me." I demanded, furrowing my eyebrows downward, still annoyed with the comment she had made before. "You're too hot to ever be fat."

"How the hell does that work?" Lauren scoffed.

"Have you looked in a mirror lately?"

"Ya. And?"

"I'm pretty sure it's called the Jauregui effect." I inform as a matter-of-factly and she rolled her eyes exaggeratedly.

"I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that."

"I'm pretty sure you need to go look in the mirror again." We both burst into a fit of laughter at our silly bickering at this point. The only thing that interrupted us and stopped our sides from splitting was my phone going off with a loud ding. Lauren became silent for a bit, focusing solely on her ice-cream as I pulled my phone out to see who would have messaged me at this time considering that I was right next to the one person that would usually text me.

"It's her." I mumbled, almost inaudibly, and Lauren responded by scooting a little closer to rest her chin on my shoulder so she could see.

"Right, so are you gonna respond? Because you should; the way she worded that is lit." Lauren tried talking, but yawned halfway through her sentence. I only shrugged.

"I guess."

"You guess?" When I turned my head, Lauren was giving me a 'really?' look.

"Well shit, what am I supposed to say?" I threw my hands up, but she was unfazed.

"Tell her you're hanging out with the sexiest girl on Earth, duh." The black haired girl suggested, like it was obvious.

"I wouldn't be lying." I shot back quickly with a smirk and Lauren scoffed as I actually started typing out what she had said.

"Don't, fuckwit." Lauren gave me a rough push on the shoulder, but instead of fighting it, I sunk down onto my side on the bed, keeping my eyes on my phone as I typed out an actual response that I was going to send.
