Elias' POV

It was hard to concentrate on teaching these jeunes gens when I only wanted to get out and talk to Clare. I felt like I was being a giddy fucked up teenager.

The bell rang and I was basically pushing the students away before I packed my stuff, ready to leave. As I was about to run for the door, Sarah appeared.

"Hey." I stopped in my tracks.

"Hey, where are you jogging to?" She smiled. I haven't seen her fake smile, or even smile for the matter, in a long time.

"Uh, nowhere really." I tried to shut the topic off.

"Okay. Anyway, we've got company tonight, could you buy some stuff from the grocery store?" She asked, handing me a list of what she needed.

"Sure."

"See you later." She fake smiled again before pecking my cheek.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and finally got to the main gates. I didn't even feel like a hypocrite, but then again I doubt I had any heart at all at the moment.

I breezed between the students and finally got to the parking lot, my hand clutching my brown bag as I looked for the brunette. It's only now that I realised how disappointed I would be if she wasn't here. My grip tightened on my bag as my eyes scanned the place, looking for her. I felt so relieved when I saw her approaching in her orange summer dress, her backpack hanging from her shoulders. She was having the time of her life, it would seem, as she was laughing her ass out with Marcel. They probably came back from the supermarket that was near school.

It took a lot of self control to not go towards her. It was a little disturbing that I wanted to be with her so much.

She spotted me, of course she would. She always stared for wherever I was and even occasionally took pictures of me. She was definitely worse than an obsessed teenager but I pretended not to see when she and her friends were doing what they did.

"Ready to go?" She trotted towards me and smiled. It struck to me that her smile was somewhat a lot more genuine than Sarah's. But Sarah and I were on the rocks anyway. I knew I didn't make her happy, while she literally mentally kills me all the time.

"Yeah." I say and stop myself from putting my hand on Clare's back to lead her.

"You're taking me home or?" She asks as I start the engine.

"Uh, maybe to the mall? We could grab coffee?" I shrug as I start driving away.

I could sense how tensed she got when I suggested coffee. She was fiddling with her fingers, her eyes were glued to the window. I occasionally glanced at her, hoping the drive would be a little slow so that I could take in the image of this young lady staring outside.

Before I could overthink anything, my one hand left the wheel and grabbed hers. She jumped at my action and I felt quite satisfied of her reaction.

"I like old guys." She blurted out.

"Uh... yeah. I'm not that old?" I scoffed.

"No! God, no. I mean, you are a little...older than me but- I mean, I was just trying to, uh, say something about me. I don't know, but anyway it's your turn?" She said, her eyes wide from embarrassment.

"I don't like football." This was making no sense at all, but it was relieving to talk about nonsense. I was still stirred from her comment. Was I old? Thirty-two isn't very old, is it?

"What? What do you watch then? Documentaries on reptiles?" Clare glared at me and I couldn't help but laugh at her reaction.

"I'd rather watch reptiles than stupid homo sapiens playing footsie with balls." I smirked before parking the car as close to the mall as possible. I hate walking long distances.

We got out and walked to the nearest café. The fact that these nonsense conversations would soon evaporate under the serious talk we'll be having was getting my nerves up.

Whatever I was about to do was not gonna be great, but it's the only way we'd work things out and I didn't want to feel as scared as I was when I saw her at the office because I also wanted Clare in my life. I mean, more than just a student. I'm still offended that she called me old though.

We both ordered hot chocolates and went to take a seat in the busy lounge.

"I like watching porn." She giggled before taking a sip of her beverage.

"I would've never guessed." I sarcastically replied. I had to break the thing I guess. "I've something to talk to you about." I started off.

She was slumped in her chair as she gulped her drink, she looked like a kid. Actually, I am kind of a pedophile. Oh lord.

"What?" She impatiently huffed.

"I want to talk about...uh- whatever we are?" This is really bad. 'It' became 'We'.

Her eyes widened as she slightly choked. She must be cringing so bad right now.

"Go on?" She whispered.

"I-" I am actually praying here. "I'd like us to uh- you know, do what we do and have a little more?"

'We' became 'Us'. You're a married man, Elias. You're fucked.

"I thought we were already doing that?" She pointed out, referring to the coffee date.

Coffee date, huh? My conscience was already mocking me.

"We've got to have some rules though." I said with a little more confidence.

"What the hell, this is not some Fifty Shades of Elias." She rolled her eyes.

"I'm serious." I stressed a little more and she rolled her eyes at me.

"Alright then. What are the rules?"

"First, don't roll your eyes at me, it makes me want to spank you." Well that isn't quite bad.

"It is Fifty Shades of Elias." She breathed.

"Second, we can't tell this to anyone. I mean it."

"Uh, I kinda told Marcel, Leila, Lexy and my sister already." She bit her lip.

"Why would you do that?" What if they said something? Do they think I'm too old?

"Because you've been a prick. Anyway, I get it. We don't get to do what we do in front of people we know, I roll my eyes because I like a good spanking, this whole things stays a secret, I get it."

"I'm sorry." Am I selfish enough to let her ruin her precious time, with me? This relationship is obviously ridiculous. Who the fuck has these rules in a normal life? I just hope she enjoys it as much as I do.

"It's alright, I guess? Just don't do it again?" She chuckled.

"You can also say no to this relationship." Please don't say no.

"Are you kidding? This would not have happened in my dreams! I was literally obsessed with you. Wanna know to what extent?" She asked and I nodded. "I'm so obsessed with you that I already have your number when you never even mentioned it to me."

What the fuck? "How?" I'm starting to get creeped out.

"I took it from your wife's phone. I know I wouldn't use it, ever, but yeah." She smiled.

There goes nothing, I guess.

A/N: This is kind of Elias' character building. Also quite a filler chapter. Hope you liked it :)
