I got onto the plane and sat in my seat. I'm going home. Home. To her. I get to go back to her. I promised her I would be back. And I will. I am. The plane took off and I me tally prepared myself for my return.
Sabrina's POV
I went to bed happy. He should be home this week. Sometime this week.
----
I woke up and got ready for work. I put on his dress shirt with some ripped jeans. I grabbed his hat and dog tag and did my makeup before going downstairs for breakfast. "You wear that too much." Sarah joked. I punched her arm. "I like the colour." I said. She chuckled. We sat down at the table and quickly ate before going off to work. When I got to set I noticed everyone was really happy. I walked around and found Rowan. "What's going on did we get renewed?" I asked her. She was trying to contain her excitement. "I wish. But no. It's just a good day. Come on let's go to the table reading. We walked and I sat down. I put Peyton's hat on his chair beside me. "Alright good morning everyone. Should we begin?" We nodded. It was a big Lucaya episode. It made me sad that he would not be here for the table reading of it.
"Lucas when are you going to tell her?" Corey said. Michael took Peyton's place. "I will. But not now. She might not feel the same way. We have something good right now."
"Oh come on. You and I both know that if someone wouldn't feel the same way it would be you."
"Whatever Farkle I will but not now. Lets go."
"Love." Ben said. "No Matthews not needed." I said.
"Everyone needs love. Like you and Lucas for example."
"Yea but I d-" I stopped. "You don't what?" Michael said. "I don't see why this is necessary. How does this the into anything historic?"
"World war I. Soldiers said goodbye to people they loved. And most, didn't ever see the again. The people you love should be kept close to your heart, even if you are thousands of miles away. Those soldiers fought for their country with their lovers in mind. They were trying to stay alive for them. They were fighting. For them."
"Great but we aren't in world war I." I said. "If the person you loved left, would you still love them when they got back?" Ben said. I teared up a little. "Yes." I said.....I got in my car and accepted the fact that he wasn't coming back. Not today. I started my car and drove home in silence. I just wanted to be alone. I got to my house and sat in the driveway. I put my forehead on the steering wheel and let myself cry a little to myself. I walked inside and saw my parents sitting on the couch. "What's wrong sweetie?" I looked up. "He's not coming back is he?" I asked. "Maybe he's just late." I shook my head. "What if he's dead and they haven't told us?" The door bell rang and I opened it, hoping it was Peyton. It wasnt. It was a flower delivery man. "Hi. Can j help you?" I asked putting on a fake smile. "Uh Yea I have a delivery for Sabrina." I looked at him confused. "Thats me." I said. I took the flowers and he left. I put them on the table and saw a note.
365 days. 8720 hours. 525600 minutes. I love you. -P
I smiled. "Its from Peyton." I said. I re read the note over and over again. "I miss him so much." I whispered though tears. "I missed you too." I looked up to see a soldier in his uniform. I looked up to see a soldier that came home. I looked up to see my soldier in his uniform. I looked up to see my soldier come home. He smiled. "You're home? You're really here?" I asked through tears. "I'm not home until you're in my arms." He said. I ran as fast as I could across the foyer. I jumped into his arms and held on tight. Every memory, every kiss, every hug, every smile, every laugh, every tear. Everything. It all came back. I cried. I held onto him so tight, making sure he wouldn't be able to leave again. "I love you." He whispered. I only cried harder. "I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here." He said. He squeezed me tight. Don't stop. Don't leave. Stay. "Stay." I whispered. "Always."
