Peyton's POV
I woke up in my bed. I decided to drive over everyday. I stared at the ceiling. I miss her. I heard the front door open and a bag hit the ground. Keys were dropped on a counter and footsteps were being made on the stairs.
"Morning hunny." She said as she entered. I smiled. "I thought I was picking you up." I said. She shrugged and threw off her sweater before hopping in bed next to me. "I thought I'd come early." I smiled and kissed her. "Breakfast?" She asked. "Let's." We got up and I put some pants on so that I was wearing something other than boxers and we went downstairs. We walked to the kitchen and she opened the fridge. "So eggs and bacon it is." She pulled everything out and out her hair up. I went behind her and she turned around, backed up against the counter. I put my arms out around her. "You look beautiful." I said. She smiled and pecked my lips and finished her ponytail. "You're cute." She said. I smiled. I got the pans and sprayed them and she started cooking. "How do you want yours?" She asked. "Whatever is good." I said. She nodded and kept cooking.
She set the plates out and started cleaning up. "No ill clean up. Come and eat." I said. She sighed and walked over. "If you insist." She sat down and we started eating.
"Ohh look who still hasn't cleaned up." She said I put my phone down and sighed. "I'm sorry." I said. She sat on the counter and I walked up to her. I put her in between my legs. "I will clean up something else." She laughed. "You? I don't think so." I smiled. "I will." She looked past me and sighed. "What's going on up there?" I asked. She looked back at me. "I don't know. I'm just thinking." She put her hands on my shoulders. She looks so beautiful. "Come on talk to me." I whispered. "If I end up marrying you and all I do is clean, I dont think I'm going to be too happy." She said staring off on the distance. "That's seriously what you were thinking about?" She nodded. I laughed and lifted her off of the counter. "Don't worry. I'll make the bed." She smiled and stared at me. "You are a treat." She said. I smiled. "Come on. Let's go for a walk." I said. She looked at me. "Like that? You're wearing dockers with no shirt." I sighed. "Fine. I'll put a shirt on." I said putting my hands up in surrender. I quickly ran upstairs and put on a short sleeve button up. I brushed my hair and ran back downstairs to see Sabrina putting her shoes on. I slipped on a lake of shoes and offered her my hand. I opened the door and we walked out and down to the sidewalk. "It's so peaceful out here." She said. I looked at her and squeezed her hand. "That it is. Everyone is probably on vacation or sleeping." I said. "No. It's only what 9:30?" She said. I looked at my watch. "8:49." I said. She raised her eyebrows. "We are morning people now are we?" I smiled. "No. You're a morning person. I was woken by the feeling of someone breaking into my house." I said. "Uh you have a window. Look out of it and see my car." She said. I shook my head. "Nah I'd rather see your face.'' She smiled. "Okay." We turned the corner and saw cars driving by. Most of them with cameras. "Here take this air." She said, letting go of my hand. I smiled. "You know it's not a big deal right?" I said. She sighed. "I just don't like it." The cars drove by and we turned another corner and she hit her shin off a fire hydrant. I started laughing. "Owww!" I stopped laughing and looked at her. "Try walking." I said. She took a few steps and then reached for me with her arms. I picked her up and cradled her. "Maybe we'll head back." I suggested. She smiled and I turned around. The cars drove past again and I laughed. "We should try and stay off the streets." I said. "Yea. And away from fire hydrants." She said.
We got back into the house and I put her on the couch. She rolled up her jeans and there was a bruise. She groaned. "It's fine." I said. "Yea but now I can't wear shorts." She said. I sat down beside her. "You won't die." She rolled her pant leg down and I turned the TV on. We found a movie and she climbed on my lap and we watched the movie.
"Alright. So now that it's lunch time I think I should cook." I said. She rolled off of me. "I'd like to see you try." She said into the couch. I grabbed her and lifted ber up by her stomach. I tickled her side and she laughed and flailed her body around. "No... Peyton!!" She said laughing. I put her over my shoulder and walked into the kitchen. She wrapped her arms around my waist and started tickling me. "Hey im gonna drop you... Stop!" I said laughing. I bent over and put her feet on the ground. She stood up and was leaning against the counter. "So what would you like for lunch?" I asked putting my hands on both sides of the counter. "Whatever you're having." She said. I leaned in and kissed her. "You know you look beautiful today." I said. She blushed. "You dont look too bad yourself." She whispered. She set her hands on the counter behind her and rested them on mine. I took her hands in mine and rubbed my thumb over her fingers. "I really like you." I whispered. "I really like you too." She said. "You know I could go for some pizza." I whispered. "I'm gonna go out on a whim here and assume you suck at making pizza." She said. "True but do you know what I'm really good at?" I asked her. "What?" I smirked. "Making babies." She raised her eyebrows and but her lip. "And what's the pizza places phone number?" She said, ducking under my arm and grabbing her phone.
Hello.
Uh yes can we get a medium pepperoni?
Thanks. And do you have french fries? I laughed.
Great can we have a large.
And delivery.
Okay thanks.
Yea you too.
She hung up and looked at me. "We have 20 minutes and then the pizza guy us coming with your pizza and my french fries." I shook my head and walked over, putting my hands on her waist. "Yea okay. And what do you propose we do with those twenty minutes?" I asked her. "Oh i don't know." She wrapped her arms around my neck. "I love you." I said. She stared into my eyes. "I don't deserve you." She whispered. "How could you say that?" I said. She leaned onto my chest. "Because. You do everything right. You could do so much better than me." I put my chin on her head. "I do so much wrong Sabrina. I do so much wrong. I'm just happy that you are still here. You are so much better than anyone ive ever known. I hope you know that." She moved her hands around my waist.
We stood there, the TV playing music in the background. We just stood there until we heard the doorbell. I sighed and pulled away. I grabbed my wallet from off the counter and walked to the door. When I opened the door, the pizza delivery girl shocked me. It was my ex girlfriend.
"Natalie. How are you?" I asked. She smiled. "Great now. I didn't know you moved to LA." I nodded.
"Yea. Work dragged me out here. But I like it. Full of great people." I said. She nodded. "So it's $15. It's an awful amount of food for one person." She said looking inside the house. I grabbed the bills. "Not quite one person." I said. I heard footsteps behind me. I smiled. "Here you go." I said handing her the bills plus a small tip. "Im dying without my french fries over here buddy!" I shook my head and laughed. "Who's that? Sister?" Natalie asked. She handed me the boxes. "Sister? We dont even look alike." Sabrina said walking up behind me. "Uh Sab this is Natalie. My previous girlfriend. Natalie this is Sabrina." They shook hands. "Nice to meet you." Sabrina said. "So maybe we can get together sometime Peyton. I miss us." Sabrina grabbed the boxes. She turned around and started walking. "Yea Peyton. Get a side chick." She said. I smiled. "Girlfriend." I said. She nodded. "That makes sense. Well thanks for the tip." She said. I nodded and she left. I closed the door and Sabrina was in the kitchen eating french fries. "Really? Side chick?" asked walking over. She shrugged and put a french fry in my mouth as I sat down next to her. "You were jealous weren't you?" I asked. She scoffed. "Pftt no." I opened the pizza box and grabbed a slice. "Why the heck were you jealous?" She shrugged. "She was flirting with you. I didn't like that." She said. "How wa-"
"It's not what she was saying it was how she was saying it." She said. "Well you don't need to be jealous. You are a lot better." I said she threw a french fry at me. I smiled. "You're cute when you're jealous." I said. She rilled her eyes and we finished eating.
