*******Sebastian's POV*******
“Gaby! You got to go! Or I'm going to tell everyone about Fernando!!" Neina begged.
“Neina, stop acting like a b-" I said as she slapped my cheek. "Ow!! That hurt!!"
“Next time watch your mouth, Little Seaweed Brain," She responded. Neina was inviting everyone to her birthday party this weekend, and Gaby might have a competition the same day. Neina was trying to convince her not to, and was mentioning some guy named Fernando. Gaby, thinking better not to argue with Neina, decided that she'll come anyway.
“Who's Fernando?" I asked as we were walking to Neina's house. Marcus already left to his house. When we got there, Aunt Reyna greeted us. Neina hugged her, and they had short conversation in Spanish (I think), with Reyna nodding at several intervals.
“What are they saying?" I whispered to Gaby.
“That Neina invited us to see her dress, and to help plan the party," Gaby whispered back.
We went to Neina's room, when Neina motioned for us to sit on her bed. We waited as Neina went into the walk in closet, to try on the dress. About 15 minutes later, Neina emerged looking more stunning than all the stars in the universe combined. She giggled as she spun around in her dress. It was a lavender sweetheart neckline dress with a sparkling bodice and a sky blue stripe at her waist. As she spun, the floor length dress shimmered blue and purple in the light. It was like the gods intended.
“Gaby, you first. How do I look?" Neina asked.
“OMGs GIRL. You look Ah mazing. YOLOUYAEACR," Gaby said. She spends too much time with Aunt Hazel. They both started laughing and I smiled. Neina started blushing.
“Sebastian, you'll be representative of the guys. How do I look?"
You look like the most perfect creation to ever exist. But I couldn't say that. So I went with something way more subtle…
“Wow." I was waiting for Neina's reaction. Gaby was trying to contain her laughter, but she snorted before she could stop herself. Neina ran and hugged me. I hugged her back.
“Wow? You've got to be kidding me Sebas," She said as she kissed my cheek, “ That, (touching my cheek) is for slapping your cheek earlier."
Neina told us to wait outside while she changed back, so that we can then plan the party.
°°Out in the hallway…°°
“You really got her to like you, didn't you?" Gaby inquired.
“Um, yeah? I guess. But that might not be true,"
Neina came out of her room, back to her previous clothes.
“What might not be true?" She asked. Looking at our expressions, she decided not to push farther. “So, let's get going then, shall we?"
As we started walking, I saw Uncle Nico waving at me to talk to him. I told Gaby and Neina that I'll be in the kitchen in five minutes.
“Yes, sir?"
“I have an offer for you. Most probably you'll go on your quest in winter, and I want you to protect Neina at all costs. So if you want, I'll take you to the Underworld and you can dive into the River Styx, thus making you invincible," Nico said.
