"Please, please! Don't kill me!" She ran and ran farther into the dark woods. The guy with the mask ran even more faster to her. She knew she could never survive running anywhere with her right foot bleeding wildly. But she had to.
She had to survive, for him.She knew it was a stupid move to go to the killer's playhouse. But she could hear the love of her life screaming and groaning from afar. And she needed to get there, to save him. When the voice became louder, she realized she was there. An abandoned and unworkable windmill. It was eerie and quite. The only sound she heard was his screams of pain, her heavy breathing, and the sound of chainsaw roaring to life behind her. The killer was still running towards her.
Then she saw him. Her heart sank to her stomach. She gasped unbelievingly, unable to utter a word. She ran towards him.
His body was stuck on the chain pump. With massive sharp wires all over his body. Some wires even went through his limbs, making blood streamed down his body excessively. He screamed and screamed but it only came out as faint whispers. Because there were wires that went through his mouth, making him unable to talk. He was almost close to death.
A little too close."Gabe! Please, hang on there! For me! Please!" She cried while trying to break him free out of the life-taking wires. But it didn't work. It became even worse. The wires cut even deeper, slashing open his skin. He screamed and screamed, he tried to tell her something, but she didn't listen. His blood splattered everywhere.
Before she knew it, more blood were splattering. Not his blood, her blood. Her right hand. She couldn't feel it. It was on the ground, chopped off. She almost fell to the ground but she mustered all of her strength to make a run. She tried to run, it was working, until she felt something cut through her. It was a long and sharp spear. It went all the way from her arse to her throat, choking her. Her own blood splattered and landed all over her face. She could see her heart hanging on the end of the spear, right in front of her. The killer brought the spear up, with her dangling on it, panting and trying to keep breathing. It was useless.
In a matter of seconds, she was lifeless.
Her heart and her lungs were torn off.
She was dead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Oh god." Nate whispered next to me, horrified. He peeked to my direction and caught me still looking at the cinema's screen wide eyed. He sent me a weird look. "You watched all of that?" He was taken aback, still hiding behind his popcorn.
We were inside a cinema, watching the newest slasher movie called WindMill Killer. I enjoyed every second of it.
"What? That was fun." I sounded like I was offended. "Ah, I forgot. You love thriller and slasher movies." He shook his head at me. "Hell yeah." I smirked.
The movie ended and the lights turned on. People got out of the cinema one by one. Most of them were couples. I wondered for a second there, were we considered a couple too? Maybe not. I shrugged it off.
We were hungry so we decided to eat some pizza. "Nate." I started. "Yeah?" He said between chewing. "Thank you for today. It was really fun." I grinned eye to eye. "Yourwell" he winked. "But seriously though, what does Zoe think about.. well, all of this? Is she really fine with you hanging around with me like, everyday?" I asked out of curiosity. He was quiet for awhile. "Yeah.. I guess." He said unsurely. "I mean, Zoe is a really understanding girl. She always says it's okay for me to hang out with my friends whenever I want." He smiled, probably thinking of how understanding her girlfriend was. And how he could just hang out with his friend whenever he wanted.
Yeah, I was the friend.I sent him a weak smile. "Nice." Was the only thing I said. I wanted to distract myself from the ugly truth, so I decided to play games on my phone. I groped my back pocket, but there was nothing.
Do you know the feeling when you felt like your back pocket was flat even though there was supposed to be something bulging out? Your phone. You started to sweat and your heart pounded harder. Yeah, I felt the exact same thing. My heart was pounding, my head was dizzy, my body was sweating, my stomach felt like flipping. An anxiety attack, great. I tried to remember so hard where I might possibly left it.
The cinema.
"Hayles? You okay?" Nate glanced up at me. "Oh god." I gasped. "What?" Nate started to panic. "My phone. Nate, my phone!" I sat up from my seat like lightning. I grabbed Nate's phone from the table. "I need this. I'll give it back, I promise!" I worked extra hard to afford my phone. The phone meant everything to me. The photos of my family, my sibling's phone number, everything.
I quickly ran out of the store unconsciously. I was panicking so bad. When I got there, the cinema was already dark and empty. There were no more movies to play. The cinema was closing.
I pounded my fist on the door. "Excuse me! Please open the door!" I shouted hoping someone would hear me. Then someone tapped my shoulder. "Excuse me miss? We're closing." A lady said politely. "I think I left my phone inside! Please let me in!" I begged. "The staff had cleaned this theater a few minutes ago. If there was something, they would've told me." She stated. "Yeah, no. Please just- let me check just a minute, please!" My voice cracked. She sighed then unlocked the door. "Just make sure-"
"Thank you!" I cut her off then immediately ran inside the theather i was in earlier. She closed the door behind me.I turned on the flashlight on Nate's phone and looked around. I was a little scared. It was too dark and also too quiet. I was pretty sure you could even hear if a coin dropped. I went to where I sat earlier and looked closely. I expected it to be anywhere near my seat but it wasn't. There was absolutely nothing. Where could it be? I remembered I still had my phone when we watched the movie.
I called my number with Nate's phone. I heard my phone rang. The sound of Lana Del Rey's song boomed through the whole theater. The song sounded lonely and eerie, making the whole situation even more scary. It came from the back of the cinema. I walked closer.
But then I saw something terrifying, someone, standing there behind my phone that made me gasped out loud.
