The snow fell heavily, as it as been doing for the last 10,000 years, or more. The man stopped counting at one hundred and thirty eight days, because it did not bother him anymore. Snow, as some people said around town, was a sign that the king was still pure. That the king had found a lighted path, and did not take death by the hand. But rather, ripped his heart out and gave it to the angels, as they accepted him through their gates. The man still remembers what his brother whispered to him before he died, although it has been more than a ton of twenty years since that snow fall night. Some nights, he still felt the caress of his leather glove sliding across his face, hitting the black silk limply.

"Kahl, are you alright?" He whipped his head around, and met eyes with his servant, Rondeu. Rondeu eyed the purifier, giving him a smile to ease the dishearten look on the mans face. Kahl nodded, and brushed past the servant.

"Please do not dwell over that monster you call a brother, Kahl. He murdered half of our lands people, and he laughed and smiled as people cried for their loved ones. He enjoyed the pain of tearing down families, homes, and peoples hope. How can you still call that behemoth your brother?" Rondeu asked, huffing a small bit from the large outtake.

"He did not want any of it, peasant." Kahl growled out, giving Rondeu a fierce look. "My brother was swallowed up by the devils cloak, not being able to unbutton it. You were not there for his last words, you were not there for his body perishing against your fingertips. You were not even born, now shut your mouth and learn some respect for the old king. You will never know how my brother was, and you will never find out." Kahl raged loudly, making the plates Rondeu were holding rattle.

Rondeu glared, not frightened by his masters words. "I hope when you drag me by the leg down to Hell, we see your brother burning to the stake and crying as his skin peels off over, and over again."
