"Viny!" Kahl screamed, nearing the destroyed lodge and cherry blossom trees he had encountered earlier. There was no sign of him, or the monster that had separated them. Kahl glanced around, examining each tree and sound before he saw it.
Before he saw Viny dead, limb after limb scattered around himself. Kahl stared, and had not believed his eyes. The Warlocks crimson blood laid about him, some dripped from the teared limbs. Kahl then came to his senses when he heard the grass being broken from behind him, but had not turned around to know it was his brother.
"Dear God, Kahl." His brother said in awe, and stared at the maimed body in fake horror, yet something Kahl could not tell. Kahl had fallen to his knees, and covered his face with his white sleeve to hide the manufactured tears streaming down his face. The brother looked at Kahl, and had expected him to break. Inside he fumed, despite being glad he had gotten rid of the nuisance that plagued Kahl. "We need to go, whatever killed him will kill us within a blink." He informed Kahl, who nodded numbly. How dear he cry for a Warlock? The king had repeated over in his head as Kahl stumbled to his feet, turning his back on the fractured and gory body of the man he had known for years. The man that had helped him with the loss of his brother, even though he was back.
A large howl was sounded from the High Mountains, making Kahl and his brother share a look of malaise before they began to walk towards the lake behind them. "The only way back is through the lake," Kahl whispered, and tried hard not to glance back at the body. He knew he could not take Viny back with him, it was far too dangerous.
His brother nodded, and dipped his long leg into the shivering water, before dipping his whole body in to. Kahl followed suit, and felt chills crawl up his legs to his spin, before grabbing his brothers hand. The warm hand he had last held before he sparkled away, which was the last time he thought he would see him again. His brother gripped it tightly, although he had been having an inner war about whether to tell him about slaughtering Viny or not. He definitely could not now, the brother solemnly thought as he stared at the pale Kahl. "Come now, it only takes a split second for us to go back." Kahl looked at him, "I have not used it in awhile, since the last day I was here, certainly. If I remember correctly, I am right."
Kahl nodded and pulled himself close to the monster, who on the inside felt the barrier of ice around his heart crack just a bit.
As Kahl and his brother closed themselves under the water, rain began to pour in the Land of Magic and Inferior. The rain, salty yet sweet, washed away the blood that surrounded Viny. It took him to the sweet place, the bright place, that Kahl knew Viny would go to. Kahl's brother closed his eyes, along with Kahl, who was gripping tight to his brother.
If only you knew what miscreation I was on the inside, Kahl, you would not be holding me tight for a way back home. But rather, I would be slaughtered right now for the crimes I had just committed, and the ones I have yet to commit, Kahl's dear brother thought, wallowing in the love Kahl let off for him, because he knew it would end as soon as Kahl knew the truth.
The truth of a monster, the truth of his actions he would take for his younger brother to only love him, the creation Hell made just for Kahl, and the world.
I sure as Hell give love a bad name, the king smiled, and held onto Kahl more dearly than ever. But Kahl did not have to know that.
