I walk into the store i always go to since its closet to my house i hear the usaul bells on the door cling as i walk in. We have 3 days left before the pruge and i love hearing that bell it makes me happy makes me feel hope even in a world that runs on fear. I walk towards the candy isle and grab a snickers my favorite candy bar of all time. I walk up to jack an employee ive known simce i moved to this side of the city. I lay the candy bar on the counter and he chuckles and looks at me.
"Tell me Ace have you ever ate anything other than snickers." he smiles slyly.
I laugh"yes but the snickers are the best." he luaghs as he rings me up. I hand him the money he takes it he begins to hand me my candy but as i reach for it. He lift it away from me. I luagh but then notice he looked serious.
"Are you gonna be ok this year?"
I lool down at his question. Hes refering to last year when i lost the last family i had my brother.
I nodd."ya ill just have to be extra careful." he stares at me sadly.
"Call me tonight and ill help with your security." i smile softly.
"I always do jack." he finally gives a sigh of relief and smiles handing me back my candy.
"Ill see you later then ace." i nodd amd smile. "See ya jack." i take my candy and once again walk out the door hearing those bells. I smile at the jingling sound.
